I'm sitting here contemplating my life choices. When the car was supposed to be ready 2 weeks ago. I've been waiting for an hour for 'paperwork' to sign so I can leave with the car, only to find out now, they took the car for wheel alignment. And if I didn't ask, nobody was gonna tell me. Please, if you hear of Dube Autobody, RUN far away!!! I'm gonna have to close the shop at 5pm it seems, for a clients that clocked in 14:30. Inconvenience 10/10, Lies told 10/10, poor communication 10/10, time wasted 10/10, overall client displeasure 10/10. 2026-03-03 16:21

This was THE WORST claim experience I have ever had, and I have had a few. A job that they, the insurer and other service providers estimated at 10 working days has taken them 2 months. I say "taken them 2 months" with leniency because, as of writing this review, I still haven't received my vehicle (nor do I have any idea when I will receive it). So who knows how long they'll actually take. To add to that, the communication is horrible. You try to email them to find out what is going on with your vehicle, and they simply ignore you and take 4 business days to respond. When they do finally respond, they usually do so with blatant lies. They told me my vehicle was assembled and now in polishing. I asked for pictures, they took 3 days to send me a picture from the back (my vehicle only had damages in the front) - this was an obvious attempt to hide the fact that they *****edly **** about the progress. The vehicle was evidently still far from polishing. After I demanded proper pictures of the damaged area, these lies became clear. And this happened more than once. They later told me the vehicle is assembled and has moved into the wash-bays. I demanded another picture, and of course, this didnt come easily, but eventually they sent one, and I learnt that this was, once again, a lie, as the vehicle looked almost no different to the previous week. I have explicitly called them out on their lies and feedback that contradicts the pictures, yet they have shown no signs of caring and continue to operate like a fly-by-night operation. As I write this review, today marks a month since the date they said I'd get my vehicle back. In this time, they have not made any attempt to explain the delays to me, the paying customer. I have had to spam their emails and wait for days for them to respond.. Yet, they still have not given me any ETA. I have asked for an ETA probably 10 times now, and they have flat out ignored my requests. This is a corporation of incompetence, lies, horrible communication and poor customer satisfaction. I would never ever come back here nor recommend these ****** to anyone. If you want professionalism, honesty and peace of mind, please do yourself a HUUUUUUUGE favour and look elsewhere.

My car went in for some dent repairs on LHS , they took 6week to repair. When my car went in the fuel was half full and collection it was almost empty. I can't believe the insurance companies are using these unprofessional people.

They are very unreliable. Its been 5 months now waiting for a fender liner that they keep saying its in back order. I have been calling them non stop and they never call to update me I am beginning to think they do not care about their clients. I would not recommend this business to anyone. The managers do not even care because if they did they would follow up on these things and ensure that one does not wait for 5 months for just a fender liner.

I'm not happy with dube autobody's service, especially the East London branch it's been months waiting for my car they keep on giving me different dates and stories While they said to me it will only take 15 days to repair the car, won't recommend it to anyone..

Dube AutoBody deserves no star from me. After a long wait for my car, they eventually released it. This old battery requires a jump start to function. I noticed this issue when I had to jump start the car in the morning after collection. Photos of the assessment provide evidence of this battery swop. When I opened the bonnet, to jump start the car, I found a size 10 spanner left inside. the battery hold-down bracket was not installed by the repairer and is currently missing. There are exposed wires inside the bonnet and...and....and...... This *****ulent behavior and substandard workmanship are completely unacceptable and pose significant risks to clients. Discovery Insure should seriously reconsider referring their clients to this repairer, as such practices not only jeopardize the safety and well-being of customers but also tarnish the reputation of those who endorse them. The issues encountered, including unauthorized battery swaps and incomplete repairs, demonstrate a lack of professionalism and integrity that should not be tolerated. Discovery Insure must ensure its clients receive quality service from reputable and trustworthy repairers.

For several weeks now, I have been given inconsistent and conflicting information by the repairer regarding the status of my vehicle repairs. Most recently, I was informed that additional parts required for the repairs have not yet been received, despite being assured last week that this matter had been resolved. This pattern of misinformation and lack of transparency from the staff at Dube Auto Repairs is not only frustrating but also indicative of a significant lack of respect for me as a customer. I find this behaviour unacceptable and unprofessional. I still have not received my vehicle. Discovery Insure should not even consider this repairer for their clients.
