These chaps overprice properties and try to trap you into signing agreements. They are involved with attorneys (who is the owners wife and share a property) who act in very dubious and ********* ways - also with the pure intention of enriching the owners pockets. Highly ********* practice. Please do not touch these guys. As a seller they will also try to trap you into a deal... These guys are so so so *****

These guys are *****. There is an agent Jakes Botha who will try and trap you into an agreement. His wife Suezelle Botha is the lawyer- she and her partner at the law firm (Doret Barendrecht) are also agents reporting to Jakes...so everyone works in a incestuous way for Mr Botha's greedy pockets. I wish I had never encountered these guys. They also go under the name of Midvaal Elite Estates and Elite Properties. They tried to trap me by signing ***** deals, **** to the property owner and misled everyone. Please don't have dealings with these guys.

Hi,

A couple of months ago i signed a leese with Elite Property.I paid both the deposit and rent. When i was preparing to move in, i couldnt as there was no electricity. I then enquired with the agent that was assisting me, she then refered me to the metering center for that complex. At the metering centre i was told that i have to pay a fee of R2000 which i did not have. There was a misunderstanding between me an the agent as i did not expect to pay so much fo a bachelor unit, as there was a part in the lease that says that electricity an water is bilable to the owner. I had expected to utilise electricity and pay what is due to owner month end. Fine after i spoke to the metering centre i tried, and i thot that i would be able to come up with the require amount, but i could not. I then told that i am cancellling the leese as i cannot afford this money, as i did not even manage to occupy their property atleast please pay my deposit back. I was then told tha it is mid month i should get a person who is going to occupy the property on my own.

I am a single mom who is struggling financialy and elite property group doesnt want to pay back my money. they have crooked me of my money. it has been over 6 months and all i get from them is back and forth with their lawyer who has now told me that he does no longer represent them. It has been lies after lies. I was informed by their lawyer that a statement will be issued in a couple of days that was in mid march it is now mid april. I am not the only one who has been crooked of her hard earned cash by Elite Property Group, there are many other victims. From october 2016 till today i have not received my R4800 deposit

Regards

I have been paying rent from November to Elite Property Group and on the 9th I found out the landlord was not even aware she has a tenant at her unit. This was followed by my locks being changed and valuables being locked inside, all this without a notice or warning. The landlord got a new agency to liaise with and insists I either start the application process from scratch the legal way including paying deposit and advance rent again, however EPG are giving me the run arounds when it comes to paying me back whats due to me. I am now left to incure an expense of R15k plus R5K pro rata rent for Feb, for me to secure the apartment. Speedo Horn has been telling me tales!!

To date I am waiting for my deposit and February rent.

This has to be the worst service I have received. Elite Property Group (EPG) had been managing my property for just over two years. In September 2016 they collected rental from my tenant but were not able to pay the rental over. The rental was subsequently paid over at the end of September. I then moved to cancel our management agreement from 1 October 2016 and requested that my tenants deposit be paid over. EPG were only able to pay +-60% of my tenants deposit in November. It's February 2017 now, and EPG is still not able to pay this amount over. Speedo Horn, who is the owner is a liar and continues to make empty promises.

My advice for prospective clients is for them to stay away from this agency. For current clients, I'd say find another agent to manage your property. It is clear from their conduct that they are going through some financial difficulty, and it resulted in client funds being misused. Rental deposits are meant to be kept in a trust account and be available when the tenant moves out.
