The Empisal expression 889 machine is a ****. Bought the machine a few years ago. It is really frustrating, the bobbin case holder never stays in place, falls out every 2 seconds so far Ive lost over 50 needles. In my 35+ years experience I've never seen such a unreliable machine.

I received a Empasil sewing machine for my birthday. Last year it worked absolutely fine until I had to sew a seem in to a jean. The time was knocked out and the tension was out to. My thread kept getting clogged up. I had it repaired at my own cost. Unfortunately ive have taken it back to have repaired several times now. As the same problem persists everytime I try to sew a double piece of fabric the timing it out. Im so fed up with this problem its my second Empasil the first one seized up. And now this one isn't working at all. Very disappointed in Empasil if it was a factory defect on this range they should have done a recall and replaced them.

I purchased the Empisal 120A Dressmaker about two years ago, and it has been nothing but a frustrating experience from the very start. The machine constantly gives problems — the thread bunches up as soon as I begin sewing, embroidery stitches never look anything like the patterns indicated, and the thread keeps slipping off the upper guide. No matter how many adjustments I try, I cannot get it to sew properly. For a product I trusted to deliver reliable results, this has been incredibly disappointing and disheartening. I even contacted Empisal customer care for help, but the only response I received was a vague “Where are you located?” with no actual guidance or support. For a brand that’s supposed to stand for quality, I expected far better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this machine based on my experience.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A SPARE FOR MY NEW EMPISAL OVERLOCKER, AND NO WHERE CAN I FIND A FREE ARM. HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE SPARES OF A USELESS PIECE OF PLASTIC THAT IS PART OF THE OVERLOCKER? NO ONE EVER GETS BACK AND THEY NEVER HAVE STOCK, EVEN IF YOU WANT TO ORDER MORE THAN ONE. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!

I purchased an Empisal Dressmaker 120A marketed by Home of Living Brands from Game Stores in George yesterday and have spent the entire morning trying to read the Chinese-English instruction manual with the worst illustrations I have ever seen - they are totally unintelligible. Here is a typical quote from the manual: "Warning:Before contriving please adjust main control switch..." The build quality is atrocious. The plastic bits are not made to last a day past the expiry of the warranty. Even the bobbins are made of paper thin plastic. The metal bits are more tin than steel. I just spent two hours trying to change the needle - it simply falls out while the tightening ***** is placed so awkwardly under upper casing, there is no room to get adult fingers around it - clearly made for tiny Chines fingers only. Do yourself a favour - stay well away from this over-priced, badly made, sold for a quick profit, built to break, doorstop.
