I used ER24’s ambulance services last year under the understanding that the claim would be processed through my medical insurance. To my shock, I am now being held personally liable for the outstanding amount because ER24 apparently never processed or claimed correctly from the insurer. What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of assistance from their claims department. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter through emails and follow-ups, yet my emails have been ignored and no meaningful feedback has been provided. This level of service is extremely disappointing, especially from a company operating in emergency medical care where professionalism and accountability should be a priority. Patients should not be left stressed, ignored, and burdened with unexpected debt because of administrative failures on ER24’s side. I expect ER24 to urgently investigate this matter, communicate properly, and resolve the billing issue without further delay.

Hc 27 sh ambulance number. I called for help and the people sent out was very rude and abrupt (coloured guy and black lady who never wanted to listen to me). I know my kid and how to attend to her but cause my car is at my mechanic, I have to be treated in such a manner. I called the emergency number to explain instead they still made me to look like a fool. Does the ER24 not know DKA but funny they rushed to ask for my medical aid number. What a bad experience and I am truly.broken and hurt beyond

What an inefficient bunch of clowns. Sitting for over two hours since requesting an ambulance to transport my end stage cancer dying wife home from Vincent Palloti hospital so she can pass away at home in peace. Little to no communication from them, far more interested in how it's going to be paid for - we have very good medical aid cover but I made it clear that if that was going to hold up thr process I would pay myself. Tried calling their call centre, couldn't believe the message played: "as the impact of the Corona virus grows, we're experiencing higher call volumes" . So useless that they can't even update their five year out of date voice message.

I am upset with the type of service receieved. On date of incident,my mother just passed, lying on the next room. My wife was in the house, obviosuly we are sadden by the passing. My wife then had a fit in front of me,and couldnt breathe and fainted. We contacted ER24,they will there very quickly,i was in distress after just having my mother passing in my arms, and half and hour later my wife turning blue in the face. I was moved into another room by a family member. So I was not there when the EMS unit arrived. They came there and the lady first asked a family member if we had medical aid, before even touching my wife. We said yes,nad they assisted. Doesnt matter if she is passed out. They said her vitals were fine, and didnt even take her to hospital. We insisted that she be taken to hospital, and the only reason we did this, because my wife had a 6cm brain tumor removed in Feb,and had conplications afterwards. We told them that, and they still didnt take her for further examination. So when I felt better, they were gone,I then waited for the undertakers to take my moms body, before I could take her to Paarl medi clinic. She was then examined by a real dr,and had to be transported with ambluance to Capegate mediclinic,to have her neurosurgeon examine her,if I remember correctly, she was placed in ICU. This was an awful experience, and receiveing the bill to pay R1 500,just brought up the experience again. I am really upset with this service. And will not be using this platform only to display this experience.....and by the way,I have paid the bill! I laid this same compliant on 10 Sept 2025. No feedback receievd
