Ladies and gents, please be warned. This is obviously a major scam these people are busy with. I read my email stating that I was successful in my application for a position I applied for. When I read the response they sent, I immediately knew by the way the email was typed, that it could never be true. This "so called" PROFESSIONAL company, would NEVER send you such an unprofessional correspondence. Please warn EVERYONE you know looking for employment, to stay clear of this amateur syndicate, making money off the innocent and helpless.

I have been unemployed for almost three years and have been applying daily for work online. I recieved the following email from a Ms Kimberly Naidoo: Good day, We received your application regarding the advertised Staff Vacancy and we apologize for the late response as we have been waiting on the new openings. We would like to inform you that we now have a right position suitable for you to be filled within May 2020 at a starting salary of R12500 plus benefits. This full time position is available within a well know Telecommunications company which is authorized to operate during the lock down and you will be working as an Administrative Assistant via our Executive Career Network. We're now finalizing the entire application process but before you join the company, your employers require a recent (not older than three months) full background check & screening on your profile as this is now compulsory prior final job offer. Kindly note that us as an agency, we do not provide this service. There're a few company providing this service and if you would like to do it yourself, please do so and send the proof of your background checks to: admin@executivecareernetwork.co.za by Monday 11th May 2020. However, we would recommend West Pole South Africa to assist you as they have proven to be professionals, reliable and affordable. If you would like them to assist you, please send an email to: andy@westpole.co.za or westpolesa@gmail.com requesting full information regarding the service. Once they receive your email, they will also contact us for your profile and recommendation. Kindly also note that a small service fee for the background check & screening applies and this fee has to be covered by you (The Applicant) and it cannot be deducted from any of your salaries whatsoever. We thank you for your patience and looking forward to having you as an employee. NB: ANY OTHER INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR NEW POST WILL BE PROVIDED ONCE WE RECEIVE THE PROOF / OUTCOMES REPORT OF YOUR BACKGROUND CHECKS & SCREENING. Kind Regards Kimberley Naidoo Executive Career Network Stupid of me to think that in this time there will not be people that would stoop so low. I contacted "Westpole" and they had the audacity to tell me that seeing as I was unemployed they will only charge me R320 instead of R640 for the background check. Again stupid of me but I paid them with money I could've used elsewhere. I am still waiting for the " info for the job I applied for" Please do not fall for the same trap I have. I know there are people worse off than me. Do not believe a word they tell you.

I was recently contacted by Executive Career Program Networks via email informing me that I have a job offer and that I will start working within the next week or two but I must first contact Smith Corps for a background check for my new employers. I was initially confused as they addressed me as "Dear Applicant" and not by my name and they didn't say which company wants to hire me and thirdly I couldn't understand why I was responsible to get a background check for a company that wants to hire me, surely that is the recruitment agencies responsibility. I replied to the email asking for further information but the email failed saying that the address cannot be found. Immediately warning lights went off. I then received a follow up email from Executive Career Program Networks but from a different person expressing the urgency for me to get my background check so they can finalize my job offer. I then searched for smith Corps and found what looked like a legit website and emailed them for information. They replied with a form requesting all of my personal information and they were even so kind to offer me a background check at half price. Being the o.c.d person I am, I immediately spotted grammatical and spelling errors all over the documents. I decided to write it off and have no further contact with either company. I also saw another review online for Smith Corps where a person was promised a job and was told to contact Smith Corps. they paid the fee for background check and never heard from them again. I'm relieved I didn't give them any personal information. Apart from stealing your money there is the fear of identity theft. There are people out there taking advantage of decent hard working people who are desperate to find work, please be careful when looking for work online. Here is a link that you can look at for tips and warning signs when looking for work online: https://www.thebalancecareers.com/top-job-scam-warning-signs-2062181. Please don't make payment or give any personal information away online with a promise of a job.
