I bought an iphone 12 pro cash at experimax canal walk in September 2023. It started giving me problems at the beginning of December 2023, I took it in for assessments on the 31st of December 2023, I was told that it will have to be booked in. I decided that I will book it on the 6th of January 2024 as I needed to use it for business. On the 6th of January 2024 an assessment was done and the phoned booked in. I was informed that it might be ready on the 7th which the following day. on the later on the 6th I was told that my phone had been taken back to the supplier and they will inform me when its ready. On the 8th of January 2024 I followed up I was informed that its not back yet. I phoned again this morning the 9th of January 2024, I was told that they are going to consult the manager regarding my phone and phone me back and never phoned me. I decided to follow up and they since have not pick up my calls. I then called their branch in Tygervelly they promised to follow up and get back to me. My business is suffering due to this lack of communication and transparency regarding my phone.

Dispute was resolved in my favor but my credit profile is still flagged with a dispute. I went to apply for a credit today and I was declined due to my credit profile being flagged with a dispute. Please assist urgently as I need a loan.

I sustained a brain injury and have short term memory issues preventing me from working. I wanted to attempt studying what I was already qualified in before my brain injury and my cousin from London suggested I get a MacBook and study or Coursera.org. I am on a disability grant and after rent, medication, dog food and child support I hardly have any money left. I then contacted ExperiMax about a disability discount on a used/repaired MacBook. They responded saying I can come collect a 2012 MacBook Pro at Canal Walk. Any business that can assist a mentally disabled person that has had NO PRIOR DEALINGS WITH is a business I would recommend to anyone.

I am super impressed, bought a pre owned ipad yesterday & received it this morning less than 24hrs later from Cape town & I am in Pretoria. The ipad looks brand new. I am so happy. Customer service was amazing I was called right after the purchase to confirm details & let me know the ipad will be collected by the courier same day.

I called on Monday morning for an appointment to have my iPhone 7 screen replaced (while I waited) only to be told by the lady that it would cost X and I’d have to call again in the afternoon to confirm if the technician was available. When I called at 16:00 I was informed that he was busy with other devices and as I wouldn’t be able to wait 3 hours I should make an appointment (I wasn’t informed in the first call that I could make an appointment), which I did for 16:30 on Tuesday. Thankfully I had the good sense to call again to confirm my appointment only to be advised that:- a) No appointment had been made as I had to bring the phone in FIRST (why didn’t they tell me this when I called the first time) b) The technician wasn’t even in so no repairs were possible c) When I asked to speak to the manager, John Frost, I was advised that he too wasn’t in Suffice to say I sent a message on Social Media which they didn’t bother to respond to. I wouldn’t recommend them as if they can’t even get their admin right how are they meant to be trusted with my device. Apple approved - well they shouldn’t be!!!!

On 23 March 2021 my husband brought in his MacBook Pro 15" to Experimax Canal Walk for repairs and paid a deposit. Since then we have been back and forth with numerous technicians, store managers and in store staff about whether they can fix it or not and they assured us they could and due to Covid they explained the delays which we understood. More than a year later and terrible service with staff and management who no integrity, we decided to just get his laptop and deposit back. We visited the store a week ago only to be told that they upgraded/changed their system and don't have his information on record anymore and essentially cannot track where his MacBook is or if it was fixed. The store manager then had the audacity to tell us that unless WE have proof that they have his MacBook (other than the receipt from paying the deposit) there was nothing they can do and are unwilling to help us any further. This has been the most upsetting and an unbelievable experience. Experimax basically stole his laptop and do not understand what ethical or customer service is and clearly don't understand the consumer protection act which they are in direct violation. They are guilty of false and deceptive dealings in this situation and we will be seeking legal council to ensure this doesn't happen to any other customers of Experimax South Africa.
