In February 2018 I was involved in an accident in a FAW V2. The seat belt did not hold me back and the air bag did not work. I slammed into the steering wheel and hurt my breast bone badly. The company that imports the vehicles told me they did a check on the vehicle, and the reason that the seat belt and airbag did not work, was because the vehicle was hit at a specific angle! I did not agree with their findings and told them I wanted compensation, they refused any compensation. I just want to warn all FAW V2 drivers to have their seat belts and airbags checked.

I bought my Faw v2 in 2014. I am struggling to get the parts because time I go to the dealership I am told that they do not have the parts. Why are they selling us a car whereas they are unable to provide the parts for the car. I have been all over Pretoria looking g for a rear window because my car was broken into and a radio was stolen, even today I still haven't found that window. Then my car started giving me problems because it would just shutdown whilst I am driving, I was told its a airflow sensor, which I since ordered last year October and to this day I still haven't received. Now the car is parked in the yard cos I can't do anything about it.

I drive a FAW Sirius S80 1.5 and on Monday 15 May 2017 my starter broke and I contacted Roadside assistance who had my car towed to Tygerberg Multifrancise in Stikland. I received a call from the service advisor who asked me what was the problem with the car on which I told them about the starter and was told they would have it checked out and let me know when my car would be fixed. I had to call them on Tuesday 16 May 2017 on which I was told that it would take 4 days working for the part to arrive then they will fit it and let me know when I can fetch my car. I made several calls during the week on which I was told by the service advisor that the part havent arrive yet. On Wednesday 24 May 2017 I called again only to be told by the receptionist that my service advisor and her manager was in training. I asked her to get an update on my car when I was told for the first time that they are waiting on FAW for authorisation to do the work on my car. On Thursday I contacted The service advisor again and only then she told me about them waiting on the warentee for authorisation. I ask her to give me the number for FAW so I can find out what the hold up was with the authoritation. I called the Office and the lady took my details and said they will look into it. Two hours later I got a call from the service advisor at TMF that my claim was approved and they can fix my car. The car was after almost three weeks in the workshop fixed on Wednesday 31/05/2017 and thought my troubles was over. On Thursday morning 01 June 2017 my car woulnt start and I needed to jumpstart my car. I contacted TMF and they said I must bring the car and they will check what the problem are. I was told that my battery had a dead cell and I have to buy a new battery after driving my car for only 13 months. The frustrations I experience with this car are unexceptable and it isnt even all because my brkes also have issues. Whe I brake my steering shake and its not safe to drive. I'm not sure if I want to send my car there because it might be there for another 3 weeks. I'm working from from 14h00 in the afternoon till 22h30 and sometimes till 00h00 and find it difficult to get to and from work without my car.

I bought a New FAW V2 vehicle in 2015, it currently has 55000km's only & since the day I purchased the vehicle my radio has never worked to which KIA PMB has been aware of since the word go, now 1yr 7months later a new radio is at the NPN branch to be fitted on my next service, On my 45000km service I asked them to please check my brakes & vehicle as it was shuddering terribly & the brakes didn't sound good, after been lied to & messed around by Terrence (Service Manager) KIA PMB I ended up paying R3000.00 to have new brake pads & the discs skimmed as appar they had no disc's in SA, my vehicle still wasn't right & it ended up at the NPN branch whereby Vick(Service Manager) was extremely helpful had stock & I had to have yet another set of brake pads & they put in new discs to which FAW HO payed as I refused to pay as Id subsequently found out that it was a default with all the 2015 FAW V2's, about a month has gone by & my brakes are still shuddering when I apply brakes & on the 24/2/17 Fri I was on my way to drop my stepson at school & my vehicle made an awful noise & my Temp Gauge when into red, I immediately switch the vehicle off & after investigating found my Fan Belt had stripped & come off, I towed my vehicle back home & phoned about a Fan Belt & low & behold there is No Stock in the coutry, a simple part... but no stock... so my vehicle is standing until I can source a replacement from another spares shop as I refuse to order anymore Spares directly from FAW as I was told from a dealer that FAW is basically made up from s**** metal, I am totally disgusted that I was sold a vehicle with "known"defects not only is it a life hazard but alot of money I've had to pay out over & above the initial finance I took out... I have had more trouble with my New FAW than I ever did owning a 2nd hand vehicle!!!!!!

I sadly purchased a so called brand new FAW Sirius S80 1.5 7 seater, on the 10 December 2016 as a surprise for my wife's birthday. On the very first few hours of owning this vehicle I discovered that the front windshield washer did not work, which gave me reason to inspect further.

On the first day, I found that there were grease marks on the hood lining, the gears were tight, the clutch was low, there were long scratches on the clear part of the dashboard (where you read the guages), there was a rugged dangling sound coming from the front wheel, the booth lid didn't lock easily, you have to slam it in order for it to close properly or else the central locking won't activate. As the days progressed, we found more and more faults and defects, too many to mention on this mail. All of this complaints were brought to the attention of the salesman, thereafter to the sales manager, then to the dealer principal, then to customer services whereby I requested a replacement BRAND-NEW vehicle as I did not want this newsed vehicle. Natalie from customer services contacted me and advised that they were not prepared to replace this vehicle but rather repair. I requested that the FAW technical team come inspect this vehicle together with me so as to ascertain the extent of the defects or faults, only to be told by Natalie that the only time that the technical guy will come down to the dealership in Durban from JHB is after the repairs have been done and if I do not abide by this then she will have no choice but to decline the repairs as I refused to book my vehicle in for repairs. I did not refuse. It's the principal behind me the customer not happy with my purchase due to the number of defects or faults on this vehicle. Now this would defeat the purpose of me complaining and requesting a replacement cos repairing is one thing but what about all the scratches and dents. What happened to CPA, don't I have any rights?

I even went to the extent of escalating to MOISA, but to no avail.

The dealer principal only saw us once late December 2016, thereafter no communication to offer of any assistance or enquire about.

My advice, if you wish to purchase a 7 seater, you might aswell purchase a Toyota Avanza, you may spend a little more however you will get quality for your moneys worth.
