I sent my car for service it was under insurance service plan. According to them my insurance took long to respond they didn't service my car but they **** saying they did service my car. They confiscated my logbook and in that mist they refused to stamp it for service. I had to pay Kokstad car time for excellent service. Do not send your car to these people. They just dragging Ford into thick mud.

I bought vehicle parts from this company. I was assisted by the man called Barry. I was given a quotation. The agreement was that I must deposit the money and send the proof of payment. Once he receives the proof of payment, he will process it and courier the goods to Mthatha for collection. I did not receive those goods in Mthatha. I brought this matter to the attention of the manager in the Mthatha branch for resolution. The manager raised the query with Mr. Tjaart Kruger of Fedauto Ford Kokstand more than a month ago. I suppose Mr. Tjaart Kruger is the manager of this branch. To my utter disappointment for someone holding such a high position in the company, he has not communicated anything to me as the customer. It is the middle of the 2nd month since I had provided the proof that goods were paid in full to the company account that was provided by them. This is a demonstration of the lack of will to resolve this matter. Mr. Tjaart Kruger knows very well that his company was paid, "why not fulfil his part of the contract?". Why not deal with the customer complaint in a respectful manner? Why has this matter not been resolved in more than a month after the senior management has received a complaint? I am not going to take this kind of disrespect lying down.

My mother is a pensioner who has to drive 2 hours to get to Ford Kokstad (FK) just to be sent back with a half-functional vehicle! She's very frustrated and fears that her car is going to deteriorate the more she takes it to Ford Kokstad. The problem started in 2018. Her car had a clutch problem, she took it in to get it replaced at Ford Kokstad (FK). After service/fixing, it could not even reach home -it started showing a "Hillstart" related message and stopped working. She towed it to a family we know in Matatiele. FK fetched it from Matatiele and fixed it - they said a *****/bolt/something was loose. They tightened the loose part and it worked. However, ever since then the car showed that message for a long time. It would go on service, the message disappears for a while and reappear. I called FK on the 6th if I'm not mistaken to tell them that it's struggling on the hill and won't start sometimes. She took it in on the 10th, FK said the doesn’t take a computer update and that they will call her with another date. On Wednesday the 15th, it refused to start again. She called FK to tell them that it is not starting to which FK gave her a date of next Thursday the 23rd of December. My mom is an old woman and this up and down is frustrating her to the extend that she (myself included) have lost confidence on the services provided by FK to attend to the car issues. She’s ready to use a backyard mechanic and I wouldn’t want her to do that. This is the very last resolution I’ll try to get her car sorted. I plead with you to get the issue resolved.

The Ford dealership in Kokstad is disgusting with its management that doesn't care about its customers. Three times my Ford Ranger 3.2 Auto 4x4 that I bought from them in 2017 has been giving me problems. Never even offered me a courtesy vehicle , it was worst the negative attitude I received from one of their managers Elton. I am sure their belly's are full and I am convinced.

FORD KOKSTAD EXPLOITED US I am so DISAPPOINTED and FRUSTRATED with the treatment I’ve got from Ford Kokstad. In late November 2018 my husband incurred problems with our Ford Ranger which resulted in it not being able to start. He contacted Simac in Mthatha then he towed the bakkie to Super Mac where he was told that its mechanical problem. The bakkie was then transferred to Ford in Kokstad where it would be repaired. The service advisor (Richard Prinsloo) assured that the issue would be attended to and that regular contact would be kept. Months went by and there was no regular communication, it was in fact my husband who would call Richard and it was always the same excuse. Every time my husband called, to check the progress, he was told that they are busy with wiring. Supposedly this wiring was done for almost 6 months (from January till June 2019) as that’s the only information my husband got from Richard. In August 2019, Richard eventually called my husband to request a down payment of R32 000 for the replacement of certain electric wires as stated by the specialist, which he paid without hesitation. Furthermore, they told us to pay an additional R18 000 for labour of the wiring, which would bring the overall total to R50 000. Richard did not give us courtesy of providing feedback after the payments were done and we were now forced to keep going into the branch (which is about 182km from where we stay) or calling them regularly. In October 2019, he called us and now said that the problem was with the engine whereby it would cost us R144 000 for replacement of a new engine, parts and labour. Furthermore, we were informed that failure to make this payment would result in Ford Kokstad charging us for storage, which would be effective from 1st November 2019. We then decided to collect the bakkie from Ford on the 31st October 2019, only to our surprise. Upon collection, we noticed that the bakkie was stripped of the engine, the gearbox was also stripped and the worst part is that none of the parts were put back in place. FORD KOKSTAD EXPLOITED US as they did not render the service we fully paid for, nor did they offer us a refund and nor did they ensure that the bakkie was brought back in the state we left it in, fully assembled. I am UTTERLY DISGUSTED by the advice and service received and would appreciate immediate assistance in solving this problem DISGUSTED AND FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER Celiwe Vapi
