High prices, poor service and BS!
For the lack of so few tea gardens in Pretoria, I yet again went to the Green Olive with the hope that perhaps their service had improved since my last visit. I found that the menu options had decreased drastically (doing away with toasted sandwiches my goodness!) whilst the prices had increased significantly. Their milkshake at R45 was nothing special and I would have done better to go to the local Wimpy bar for a better tasting and more presentable one. The service was incredibly poor, so poor that I decided to not tip the waiter, only to find that a service fee had been added anyway. Upon querying this, I was told it was to cover rep fees and was instituted a while back. Rep fees???? My granddaughter also brought me a large, rusted nail that she found in the sand on the playground where all the little children were playing on the poorly maintained equipment. I have learned my lesson with the Green Olive and will most definitely not be visiting there again as everything about this experience bad.

Green Olive Tea Garden, Pretoria

My daughter also found the plastic top from the container of the 1000 island salad dressing in her salad. To crown it all, after such poor service, we were charged a compulsory service fee for what I deem to be extraordinarily poor service. I have no qualms in tipping well for good service, but in this case I was forced to pay the service fee when I would rather have not. I have vowed that the Green Olive will never smell me again and I will gladly spread the word of their poor service!!!

Absolutely Disgusting Management
<p>I will never evet go to green olive restaurant again.</p> <p>1. Foun a ****roach in my food.</p> <p>2. When I told the manager she said nothing and went inside.</p> <p>3. She never came back to apologize.</p> <p>4. She stood inside and gossiped with her staff members as if they are her friends and then made loud sarcastic comments about me complaining </p> <p>5. The managers are inexperienced little girls with extremely bad attitudes and have no idea how to manage a restaurant or treat customers.</p> <p>I will never visit this restaurant again and will tell everyone to never go there!</p>

Poor service and dangerous play area
<p>My mother and I took my 3 kids to go and play and have a milkshake as well as a bite to eat. First of all I had to call a waiter to bring us menu's as no one keeps an eye on new customers walking in. </p> <p>My middle son wanted to go and slide but when he climbed on the slide a loose plank hit him on the side of the leg and ripped off his skin. When I went to inspect the situation, I saw long rusted nails sticking out, many loose planks and other dangerous areas which have no safety railing. It really is unsuitable for children. yes, the playground is used on own risk but surely there should be some standard!?</p> <p>After waiting 20 minutes for our milkshakes we stood up. At that point we have had enough!</p>

Excellent service - going the extra mile!
We had a Gideons breakfast and the service was very professional and everything exactly on time. The food was well prepared and fresh. Thank you for all the extras and the friendliness. Our guests was promptly served and every request was met. We will definitely make use of your services again.

Excellent service - going the extra mile!
We had a Gideons breakfast and the service was very professional and everything exactly on time. The food was well prepared and fresh. Thank you for all the extras and the friendliness. Our guests was promptly served and every request was met. We will definitely make use of your services again.
