My vehicle was shipped from Durban to Cape Town. I dropped the vehicle in Durban on Thursday, 18 June 2020. I collected the vehicle yesterday, 25 June 2020. I had my clothes loaded into the vehicle but all were placed in bags and sealed. When I offloaded my vehicle yesterday, I discovered two jackets were stolen from my bag. A black K-way and a Woolworths denim jacket. When I contacted Grindrod I was advised that their policy does not allow for loose items on page two of their T & C’s. I have asked them to investigate and will take this at a loss however it is rather disappointing that a reputable company has staff that invade your personal space and steal.

Damaged car from transportation removal from PTA
Grindrod has transported my car from Pretoria to Cape Town as I was relocating to Cape Town. I dropped the car at their depot in Rosslyn Pretoria North on the 26th June 2015. Upon receiving my car in Cape Town on the 03rd July 2015, my car was damaged on the front left bumper, the damaged was due to someone bumped it while transporting. I reported to Grindrod and they requested 3 quotes from the panel beaters, quotes were submitted including the pictures of the damaged area, the receipt document shows there was no damaged when the car was checked in at the depot. I followed up with Anusha from the Durban branch, up to date I am being thrown from pillar to post and my car is still not fixed. I am driving around with a damaged car and these people have been paid for the transportation of my car and now they are running away from their responsibility trying to avoid the damaged that they have caused.<br> <br> I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to use Grindrod to transport their goods as they do not fulfill what is stipulated to the contract instead they leave customers frustrated.<br> <br> Regards<br> Mandisa

Damaged car from transportation removal from PTA

I followed up with Anusha from the Durban branch, up to date I am being thrown from pillar to post and my car is still not fixed. I am driving around with a damaged car and these people have been paid for the transportation of my car and now they are running away from their responsibility trying to avoid the damaged that they have caused.<br> <br> I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to use Grindrod to transport their goods as they do not fulfill what is stipulated to the contract instead they leave customers frustrated.<br> <br> Regards<br> Mandisa

Poor service and damaged vehicle
I have recently relocated from Cape Town to Durban and used Grindrod Automotive Logistics to transport my vehicles. Both vehicles were delivered in an extremely dirty condition and I had to wash the vehicles myself. After the wash I discovered the entire bonnet/bumper/mirrors/side panels' paint was eaten by what was established as battery acid by 3 panel beaters caused by negligence from Grindrod's side.<br> <br> They agreed to pay for the damage but I saw there was an excess amount included in the form they sent back. A lady called me back and said that they would wave the amount since it it caused by negligence and I don't have to worry. I only needed to get two quotes.<br> <br> I ended up getting 4 quotes and now they want me to pay the excess amount!<br> <br> They \brag"in the contract which I initially signed that the vehicles are comprehensively insured but this is definitely not the case!<br> <br> I would not recommend their services at all! """
