Groundcover Leather Company are the best
Just about all my shoes and handbags come from Groundcover Leather Company, started by an old school friend. Their main shop is in Curry's Post in the KZN Midlands, but I usually visit their branch at the Mushroom Farm in Hillcrest, where the wonderful Nosipho is always kind, welcoming and helpful. I love supporting small businesses and wearing hand crafted goods.

Groundcover Leather Company are the best
Just about all my shoes and handbags come from Groundcover Leather Company, started by an old school friend. Their main shop is in Curry's Post in the KZN Midlands, but I usually visit their branch at the Mushroom Farm in Hillcrest, where the wonderful Nosipho is always kind, welcoming and helpful. I'm a customer for life!
I bought a pair of sheepskin slippers in 2017 and recently replaced them with a new pair. The factory is based in Natal and they couriered the new pair to JHB within a couple of days of receipt of my order. I was not satisfied with 2 aspects of them and notified Don the factory manager, complete with accompanying pics in this regard. They sent a courier to fetch the slippers. After a few days they notified me that they would not attempt to rectify the minor defects and would instead, replace them with a new pair. At their expense they collected the pair and sent the new pair. After sales service and customer satisfaction is at the top of their agenda. Many businesses in South Africa would do well to emulate their policies!

Groundcover care for their clients
This company that makes inter alia bespoke shoes, will go the extra mile in order to satisfy their customers. For me they made up a pair of shoes not appearing in their catalogue, and for my wife they replaced a pair of bespoke shoes in spite of their written warning that shoes ordered thus, will not be replaced. Their workmanship is of the highest quality, and shoes made by them will last and last.
