We found the place to be very nice. we booked a chalet and put up our tent next to it. Yes there were no grids but people ***** grids so bring your own, not too much to ask. the place was clean and well kept. no stink and management was always friendly and willing to help out where they could. The fishing. esp at night was excellent. ablution blocks were excellent. This place will be seeing a lot more of me in the very near future.

We found the place to be very nice. we booked a chalet and put up our tent next to it. Yes there were no grids but people ***** grids so bring your own, not too much to ask. the place was clean and well kept. no stink and management was always friendly and willing to help out where they could. The fishing. esp at night was excellent. ablution blocks were excellent. This place will be seeing a lot more of me in the very near future.

Not value for money!!!
The most horrible resort ever, they practically rip people off, their prices are way OVERPRICED and their cabins offer nothing, fridge doesn't work properly, stove doesn't work, and if you are going there for peace of mind you won't get it, church group made sooo much of noise till late of night and after they were done a party was going on til past 1 at night hardly got any sleep. Receptionist was also very rude at first and was going to send us off on the first time, I couldn't even leave as I had my baby with, I had to ask her to allow me to at least view another cabin, doors jammed, cupboard doors broken it looks as if they don't even clean up the cabins before guest check in, planks from the cabin floors are open and loose alot of wing gets in. I do not recommend anyone to go with a family to this type of resort there are plenty of other decent resorts cheaper with much more decent facilities around.

We stayed at Hengelaarsvriend for my fathers birthday , and it was the most horrible stay , the view was very nice and the fishing is good , but the linnen on the bed was burned with cigarettes and very dirty and the things that always must be right at places to stay for the night is certainly not right , the fridge does not work and much more .

Rude receptionist.

Hengelaarsvriend Holiday Resort the dirtiest place next to Roodeplaat dam😭
Hengelaarsvriend Holiday Resort is one of the most dirtiest place next to Roodeplaat dam. The dam is very dirty, the resort is a dirty stinking place. No dustbins, braai areas with no braai grids. Accommodation is also very dirty and be prepared to pay entrance fee of R120.00 per person. I will not recommend this place at all.

Hengelaarsvriend Holiday Resort - Refund ?
Ons het 3 nagte bespreek by Hengelaarsvrien (31 Desember 2020 tot 03 Januarie 2021). Op 02 Januarie toe kom daar 'n man van die oord en se vir almal om op te pak al omdat die hele oewer toe is van die Jasinte. Ons het op gepak Soos versoek. By die hek het ek met Spokie gepraat en sy het gese hulle sal ons refund vir die 1 aand. Dii cvat do 3 maande voordat dam eers Weer reg sal wees. Ek het vele emails gestuur, oproepe gemaak oor my refund en Spokie, Tammy se elke hulle sal terugkom na my en as hulle terug kom Dan soek hulle my bank besonderhede, bewyse dat ek betaal het vir die verblyf. Dan se hulle Estie sal my betaal. Dis nou al 5 maande en Nog steeds niks. Al die oproepe tussen my en hulle is op band asook Al die emails. Dries het my die week gebel en Vir my gese hulle betaal mense maar omdat Cyril die afkondigibg gemaak het in Desember nou goed hulle my nie te refund. Die verbod was vanaf 29 Desember tot 15 Januarie 2021. Tammy het my gebel en gese ons Kan Nog steeds in kom op 31 Desember 2020, die polisie was nou hier en hulle gee toestemming. Ek soek my geld terug dis Al
