Yesterday an employee from the animal welfare society entered my property without permission, aggressively making accusations, not explaining why she is there or what she wants. I work overseas and at the time it was only my partner, her friend and two young children at my house. They asked this aggressive woman to leave the premises as they were fearing what she might do as she was very hostile. She then proceeded to take pictures of my cars and possessions making accusations that it was bought with money from breeding dogs. I only own one cat and one dog. The house that she received a comaint about was up the road. The lady owner of the dogs from the house up the road, came to our house with her two young children to borrow washing powder. This aggressive and arrogant woman did not give anyone chance to talk and when I pjo Ed her to explain that she was at the wrong house and that she cannot take photos of my possessions as I work overseas in construction and my partner lives alone. I am scared of what happens with those photos as it might be used to show ********s what is in the house. She was very arrogant over the phone and aggressively rep**** "see you in court" when I said that I have to notify authorities and take actions to ensure the safety of my property and partner. This is an disgrace for the animal welfare society to have representatives like that. I have always been a big supporter of your society, but will take this further. Greetings Hello Peter community, can someone please tell me-why are Animal Welfare societies/SPCA more expensive than VET's and Petstores? are they not suppose to represent the community, are they not receiving funding? today I called AnimaWelfare,Schaapskraal,Cape Town.To my surprise a teak&flee, one month tablet was R174 yet at Takealot was R140. if you look at their location-deep in the trenches of Phillipi, right in the poverty lines, one would swear they are there to serve the community or perhaps its the location that allows them access funding NOT serving the community. next time you see an unattended pet/dead animal net to the road, please do understand that these originations are there in their communities for financial gains not to serve them. They receive all these fundings and still charge exorbitent fees to poor communities. anyways need up buying the tablets, higher quality on takealot. 2023, they charged me R1200 to cremate one of my pets

I'm in Port Elizabeth and would like to give a huge thank you to Edward who is the animal rescuer for AWS PE. His courage and extraction gifts are admirable. Another tortured animal safely removed from a hostile situation. Thank you Edward!

Can't give it a 0 hence me giving it a 1. My dog was put down on Tuesday, 22/02/2022. ME, I, THE OWNER OF THE DOG, WHO LIVES WITH THE DOG, DID NOT GIVE CONSENT. A relative (who does not live with MY dog) decided to sign as the owner, therefore, giving THIS SO CALLED WELFARE the right to put my dog down. Get your facts straight when getting people to sign over the rights of a dog!! How the hell do you put a dog down without the REAL owner's CONSENT?!?! Also, how dare you force people to sign over rights when they are emotional, are you in it for "money" or bettering animals lives? Long gone are the days where I will EVER donate or promote Animal Welfare Society (Phillipi). DISGUSTING behavior from a "welfare" service.

Today was a very sad day. My mother called tue animal welfare to query costs involved to put d9wn our beautiful boerboel. The lady who answers the phone told my mother it will be R550 we asked for payment to be split in two payments.....pay end June half and end July the rest. She confirmed and said its Ok We made our way to put d9wn our stunning dog and the vet on duty today was amazing and so compassionate and ran me through the whole process. I said my goodbyes and my dog is now free of pain and as they say all dogs go to heaven. We waited for our account as arranged for payment the lady handling the accounts was very rude and added to the price, said R700 please. We stood there imbarrest and ashamed and if something happened like that at a department store you would be immediately fired. As i stood there with tears quickly dried up from being broken about letting of our dog,she was the last dog my father and i bought together so was such a sad and emotional day. Point is no compassion or care or nothing was shown towards us.....and they are people who must show compassion towards animals and people but today was the second experience where account or payment info was not communicated among staff......and the only person who was nice or cared was the vet on duty. I truly deeply thank you for running me trough the process with my darling companion. But no way in hell we are paying R700 we are paying as discussed R550. Another account was brought to our attention and my father in incompetant to work or anything he has dimentia alzeihmers and the fact that they also communicated to my mother R650 after our d9gs operations we received account for R860. Please take into consideration we love animals and adore them and we have less than no money so please just cause we live where we live does not mean we are rich. You dont know our current situation and we want to pay but unfairness get unfairness back. "Do unto those what you want to have done unto you" Please correct those accounts and remember how you treated us cause i get you live on donations.......but dont be rude to the wrong people just because of financial status or looks. God provides and he sees everything. Lady in account please rudeness and inconsideration from your side today when my dog was just put down..........was the rudest attitude from your side. If you have trouble communicated to your fellow co workers...... ..please sort it out.
