Please note that these scammers are now operating under the name of Slique cars in Vereeninging and La Cars in Meyerton. A lot of the same people are involved including Dillan Kaylan Ankiah who appear in the footage from the ENCA show called checkpoint https://www.enca.com/shows/checkpoint-hi-brid-auto-part-2. Dillan is listed as the director of Slique Cars and they are using the same company reg number as LA Cars.

Hi-Brid Auctioneers t/a Hi-Brid Auto Reg No.2015/169567/07 Director:Shenice O Neil Pillay DOB 1995/01/06. Manager:Clinton. Saleslady : Gernell.Clinton's Boss Rajen Pillay...Dillon Govender and the following players Jenny,Nessan, Rajen, Sherilyn Padayachee, all belong to this FRAUD SYNDICATE AND ROB PEOPLE OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY!!! Their business is to basically rob you. My son and I sold a car to them in good faith; a Kia Picanto for R56000 and we only received R30000 in payment ( we're still fortunate)many clients have been scammed for hundreds of thousands. We had to sign an agreement that we've sold the vehicle to them so that they cover themselves from being arrested for fraud. Once you've made a declaration to sell IN WRITING and they don't honour payment; the matter becomes a civil one and has to be dealt with through the courts. Nevertheless the outstanding R26000 has been outstanding for last 6 months and we've dealt with numerous persons - all a bunch of CROOKS that are working hand in hand. Don't be fooled by the luxury cars displayed on their premises. enca checkpoint have run a 10 minute expose of these miscreants ( check it out on Youtube CheckPoint Hi - Brid auto car scam). They never answer their phones and their land line ********** does not exist. If they do answer their cells nothing but BS comes out of their mouths.I'm surprised that this establishment continues to exits. It defies logic and sound reason as to why the authorities haven't closed this establishment down and locked up all these *******s.Only in SA can you operate with impunity and make a profit.

Good day I would like to alert you to the experience that I have had with Brett-Lee Preowned and Hybrid Auto. Brett-Lee: I dropped the car (BWM 320i) at Brett-Lee for sale on the 16 March 2018. After a month, I kept following up whether the car was sold or not. I was told it was sold but took multiple attempts to get someone that could sign the documentation with me. Roughly a month later I was able to sign the sale document, this date was 8 June 2018. Per this sale agreement, I was to be paid 7-21 working days after signing the paperwork. So 21 working days, I contacted Brett-Lee to find out where why I had not been paid. For the next week, there were multiple stories and excuses, until I was asked to come in and speak to them. I made my way in to speak to Brett-Lee and they mentioned that they were in a partnership which had gone sour and need some time to repay me. At this point in time, I approached the attorney and pursued legal action. We have gone through the motions, sent letters, summons and are continuing in this process. Not once did Brett-Lee agree to a repayment plan and neither do they seem interested in paying up my money. Other Instance: On the 13 September 2018, a gentlemen contacted me and asked if I has been paid for my car. Which I responded no. This gentlemen was incorrectly sent some of mine and other peoples documentation for which their cars had also not been paid. Very unprofessional! Hybrid Auto: On the 19 November 2018, I received an acknowledgment of debt (which I did not sign for various reasons), which states Hybrid Auto and Brett-Lee were in partnership from April 2018 to June 2018. They also acknowledge the debt of my car but stated that they have not received the papers from Brett-Lee. Further to this they included a BMW 320i (my car) and a BMW X5. The X5 is not my car but clearly they owe this person his money too. Conclusion: I have note been paid! My sale agreement is with Brett-Lee which seems to have an issue Hybrid Auto. I continue to pursue legal advice and proceedings and will keep this thread update. DO NOT BUY NOR SELL WITH BRETT-LEE PREOWNED NOR HYBRID AUTO.

I have had the worse experience ever with Hi-brid auto, to start off with they have sold my bakkie now 3-4 months ago and have still not paid me for the bakkie, after follow ups for 4 months now they have informed me that they had made payment into a random account that they are not sure where they got it from but apparently is mine, I have been to meetings after meetings with all involved at Hi-brid and no one is willing to assist, the bakkie however has been sold to an unsuspecting person, but still registered in my name, and i am now recieving all fo the fines that they are collecting, we are now up to 6 fines in 4 months with the smallest one being R600. I have reported this issue to the police now and have found that i am one of 15 people who this has happened to by Hi-Brid auto. The team at Hi-Brid auto are not willing to assist me in anyway or to pay me for my Bakkie

Hi Brid Auto guys are bunch of Criminals who scam people their Cars and Money, I was selling my car and was frequently called by a consultant named Peace telling me they can sell my car in less than 3 Weeks, and we signed a consignment letter that said I must give them a 30 day period to sell my car, after 30 days I went to collect my car but they refused saying that there is a hold up deposit on the car, I returned a week later, Mr Pillay their boss said he will buy the car but after 30 days there was no money on my account, I kept calling them but they never answer... I then reported my car stolen and my tracker found it and by that time they were in a process of changing its registration because it was found with no license disc and number plates. People stay away from this Criminals, the likes of Pillay, Ragen Dillen jr and Dillen Senior and many more who are working there.

To whom it may concern I would like to lay a complaint against a dealership based in Johannesburg South Rifle Range Road Ridgeway Hi-Brit Auto/ Rigeway Cars CC I sold my car to them 13 January 2018 for the Amount of R42500, they paid me a deposit of R5000 18 January 2018 after they assses the car. Then R15000 on 24 January 2018 and the bal R22500 was due on 10 February 2018. See attached files They failed to pay the balance on 10 February 2018 and has been giving me stories for three months after that claiming the car is in repairs. I then consulted a laywer to lay a claim for the balance outstanding. Then they contacted me and made arrangements to pay me R2500 every 7th of each month over 9months. To date they paid me two payments R1500 and R2000 was the last payment 27 August 2018. Reason being the had cash flow issues and I agreed. I started of dealing with the sales guy Dilan no ********** 758, then the owner Rajun ********** 847 who agreed to settle the balance outstanding. Then he was unavailable for months on end not taking my calls. Eventual a new guy Clint took over that made the arrangement of R2500 over nine months to settle the bal R22500 oustanding. Of which to date only manange to pay R3500 balance of R19000 is due. They defaulted the 2nd agreement. After 27 August 2018 Clint changed the whole aggrement and said I would be paid 27 of each month going forward. 27 September 2018 I was advised that they dont have the money they will eft end of September. No payment was done end September 2018, I went back in October, Clint advised that they will make payment the 6 October 2018 , then 13 October 2018, then 20 October 2018. Still no payment I have reached a point where I no longer can deal with this dealership and want the oumbudsman to interviene and investigate this dealership. I believe a few people is dealing with the same issue. Before more innocent people fall into the same scam For months now my car has not been at the dealership, so I dont even know if its sold or not. I even ask them to return my car and I pay their money back after I get a qualified mechanic to inspect the car is in the same condition I sold it to them. Still they fail to disclose where my care is. I will be laying a criminal charge against them on Monday 22 October 2018 if my car is not returned Regards
