I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the disgraceful and ********* service I received from your company. Upon moving into a newly purchased property—where the previous owner sadly passed away—I chose not to continue any contract with your company. In response, your technician attended the premises and maliciously locked the alarm system before leaving, despite the fact that your company had already removed the radio and no longer provides monitoring for this address. This was completely unprofessional and, I believe, done deliberately to extract a call-out fee from new residents, as only your company can unlock the system—at a cost of R250. When I attempted to resolve this, I first spoke to a staff member named Charmain, who was shockingly rude, lacked basic manners, and showed zero empathy or understanding. Her conduct was entirely unacceptable. I then called your landline and spoke to someone named Farhad, who defended the technician despite being informed that the technician falsely claimed he had not touched the panel—when in fact, he had. What made this worse is that I explained to Farhad I’m a single mother trying to settle into a new home. His response? He laughed on the call. If your calls are recorded, I urge you to listen to that call. The attitude displayed was appalling, heartless, and downright disgraceful. Your business model—locking users out of their own alarm system after removing your equipment, then demanding a R250 call-out fee just to unlock it—is ********* and exploitative. It is shocking that such a practice continues unchecked. In summary: Your technician deliberately locked an inactive system. Your admin staff, Charmain, was rude and unprofessional. Farhad’s conduct was patronising and disrespectful. The R250 fee is unjustifiable given the context and actions of your team. You are running a business devoid of empathy and ethics. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. I will not hesitate to escalate this matter further—to consumer protection bodies and on public forums—if this is not addressed promptly and fairly.

Usually when you leave a service provider to join another you would think you part ways amicably because word of mouth can either make or break your clientele. We initiated the service of hi tech 3 years ago for my dad. my dad is now late. Their medical service was great when they arrived because the Govt ambulance did not make it over. Mind you we paid for the service. We were going to continue our relationship with hi tech, but decided to go with our current service provider whom we have for our current home. Whilst Hi tech was very helpful when we were their clients, which I will not deny, but as soon as we signed up with another service provider the conversation that I had with the manager was not on a professional level. I have dealt with clients for over 30 years and I would have never lambasted my client on the phone if they were leaving me. All I heard was how we have got everything for free. I barely got 2 sentences in the whole conversation. Hi tech have removed the radio system but did not release the panel to default so that the next service provider could put in their code. This is where treating customer fairly comes in, because clearly as a service provider you would part ways on a professional level so that you will still get referrals irrespective of the reason your client has left your company instead of throwing a tantrum on the phone with your resigned client.

I have been a client of Hi-Tech for the last 28 years. Their service has always been exemplary with a very high degree of professionalism. They certainly make Nelspruit a more livable place in these gangster times. Thank you to all their friendly, dedicated and helpful personnel. Your efforts are appreciated by many.

I signed up to have my property monitored together with armed response and it has been 9 month where I have never had a patrol done on my property. I have never seen a vehicle patrol the area neither have I received a notice of patrol from the security patrol officers unlike other security companies that service the area. I have left the matter with staff from the control room to investigate and was told that the sales manager will revert back to me as the staff could not answer my concerns when challenged. A week later I had no response from the company so I called back to speak to their MD / CEO and they are not is possession of his mobile number, neither did they offer to take my number and get him to call me. this is appalling service and I feel robbed for paying monthly fees and since then I have suffered a loss with garden furniture stolen off my property. I cannot understand what I pay for if there is no visible security presence. Sign Boards do not deter crime and I believe seeing a security officer ever so often stop at a property that they are being paid to monitor helps, sitting in the control room looking at a panel does not cover monitoring of my property.
