Highpoint rentals rented us a place that was in the market. They **** and said that the owner was noy going to sell anymore. The place had no cubpards and the wooden floors were full of holes and there was a problem with the electricity.a week after we moved in i refrigerator blown because there was a leaking pipe we did warn the agency about and they did not come to fix it .all our food went bad and they said they are not taking any responsibility.we signed a contract that pets are aloud and we had a dog that moved in with us.After 2 months we heard that the place was sold and the new owner was taking over.our electricity and water was included in the contract of our rent but they told us we are not aloud to use water and the hurt my dog so i had to make a plan so she could stay somewhere else.our children were not allowed to play outside anymore and the owners daughter kept on coming in our house and looking trough our windows.times when i got home i vaught the owner lerking in my house and many off our belongings got lost.they treated us very bad and intimidated us.they put in prepaid meters and told us it is our problem and that we should pay extra.we decided to moveout as we could not afford to stay there anymore and they did not care for our safety.the promised that we will get our deposit back and still we have not gotten it back and inspection was done.we gave them back the place cleaner than it was when we moved in.it was very dirty as the owner was not accomadating to give us a clean place.my children has no food and they dont care.i will definitly not recommend renting from them they break the law.they are a ***** and they dont care about the renters only about their money.they are *******

Very schethy, i rented a flat let from them in Villieria, i was promised that the place would repaired (including a toilet door) it never happenned. You can begging to commit to their word but they will just ignore you.

very bad service, when we enter the premises they never told me of hidden cost ( rates and sanitation) after a year they then told me i am owing a certain amount and need to pay it, well i tried to pay it until certain period where i felt like i am paying a lot and needed to move out, my total deposit was R5550, to be surprised when the inspector comes he saw two quarter glasses missing which i agree that its my cost but he then went back and mention that the wall is dirty, which just mabye meter square dirty, and after that they told me my deposit will be less that R200???? like really now....!!! this worse service ever.

I took out a lease with High Point Rentals from the beginning of March 2021. Upon moving in I sent them a laundry list of things that needed to be fixed, which I can say only 20% has been attended to. In July, I needed to move the bed and upon lifting the bed, I discovered that the bed and mattress are mold infested, the same mold that is on the corners of this apartment. I reported this to the agency and to date, they are refusing to come out and see what is happening in the apartment. Yesterday I sent them a one month notice and the Principal responded by saying i cannot breach the contract. I have him a call this morning where he said the mold in the apartment is my responsibility because they had cleaned or painted the apartment before I moved in. I am supposed to stay in this apartment where my bed and mattress is getting moldy by the day. That is not fair and a lease is not supposed to only favor the landlord but should be fair to both parties. The apartment is cold, especially the bedroom, I have chest problems as a result of this bedroom and the Principal is refusing to hear my perspective. I need intervention as I cannot be forced to stay in a place that is not serving my needs. The agency came back a few minutes back saying I can vacate the property on the 30th September, and a few minutes later they are saying i must pay them for getting another tenant. That is unfair and I object to this treatment.
