World of wellness gym Somerset west offers disgusting service.staff and operations manager Maco Van Wyk and his team does not honour contracts,from gym member who signed up with ignite before they took over the gym and now labelled it world of wellness ..they treat customers unfairly and want to bully people into opening up new memberships with them. They also do not want to cancel any contacts even though they are defaulting on the contract signed with ignite before they took over without warning

I am truly dissapponted in the service I received from Ignite Fitness. I joined the Menlyn branch end July 2025, only to find out that the gym will be closing the next month (August). I did not get notified of its closure, I coincidentally heard thereof by another member in the gym. I only got an email after the gym already closed. Therefore a misrepresentation was made to me by allowing me to join the gym a few weeks before its closure. After the gym closed, the debit orders for my membership fee continued every month despite its closure. I have called and emailed their head office numerous times to have this debit order stopped as the bank has informed me that they need to stop the debit order from their side. This month, another debit order got deducted under the name of a gym replacing the JOHANNESBURG branch. Once again to no avail I cannot reach anyone to assist me in this matter.

The worst ever!!!! what a ****. My gym membership expired and they continued with it saying I’m supposed to send a cancellation email as my contract states. I’ve been sending that email since August and the whole of last month, no one bothers to respond or even acknowledge the cancellation but they are the first to debit my account. It’s a ****!!!!! Avoid them at all costs.

Ignite Fitness offered me a free month to try them out, this was about 3 years ago, i never went to the gym as I was in the process of relocating none-the-less Ignite opened the membership and started charging me. i have since spoken to many consultants and they never cancel the "contract" Ignite Somerset West will do anything to get members, regardless of what you do they will never stop billing you. Just today i was billed again for a membership I never took out and complained about many times. they have put debt collectors onto me for gym fees, even after all of this I am yet to step foot in the establishment. I have tried calling them but all the numbers listed are not answered, this seems like a **** operation in the manner in which they operate. BEWARE ALL!

horrible service, I paid their termination fees, send them my proofs of payment they did not allocate my funds to my profile so they took to the lawyers VVM attorneys. I have been harassed by VVM attorneys even though I paid and the mistake is with Ignite Fitness. I keep calling Ignite Fitness and they say they allocated my funds to my profile but VVM attorneys still harass me.

I have been with Ignite Fitnes (Menlyn) for almost 4 years and despite the loyalty and how many referrals I have sent their way they continue to treat me like dirt. I had an issue with freezing my account, that resulted in me having to pay about R2000 for something that could've been avoided if they did their job. Now, they sent us an email that the Menlyn branch will be closing and that our memberships will end on the 31/08, a few months ago when they temporarily closed they allowed for us to either share a certificate with a friend or opt to keep the cert which is basically a one month free certificate. I emailed multiple people, telling them that I would like to use my certificate now since this is the last month at the gym but NO ONE, has responded to emails (it has been over 2 weeks now). I am not asking for too much, I am just asking for my certificate to be recognized and for my R349 to be refunded.

Joined the Rosebank branch an annual contract in July 2024, they knew they were closing down but still signed members up. Closed down in September 2024no explanation **** that it was a water leak , electrical issues blah blah. When asked for a refund they refused to pay it. Schalk Hugo is a ****mer
