We bought a total of 5 Jetmaster products for our new house in Yzerfontein. In short if you are considering using a Jetmaster product my advice is absolutely don't, under any circumstances. The products are dismal and their service matches. The 1000mm stainless steel braai with coalmaker: 1) The braaigrid doesn't fit properly, it can't be used in the lower position 2) The potjiekoos arm/hook is manufactured too short and with weight the hook dislodges out of its bracket 3)The design of the coalmaker is highly impractical, jetmaster have placed a solid plate over the front of the coalmaker, rendering it inaccessible when harvesting coals, the spacing of the bars in the coalmaker leaves good coals trapped in the coalmaker and only allows through small coals, thus not suitable for making coals with many types of braaiwood. The 2 other mild steel 1000mm units with coalmaker: 1) The handles arent properly secured and basically fell out of the unit before the 1st fire was made 2) The potjiekoos arm/hook is manufactured too short and with weight the hook dislodges out of its bracket. 3) They arrived rusted in their packaging. 4)The design of the coalmaker is highly impractical, jetmaster have placed a solid plate over the front of the coalmaker, rendering it inaccessible when harvesting coals, the spacing of the bars in the coalmaker leaves good coals trapped in the coalmaker and only allows through small coals, thus not suitable for making coals with many types of braaiwood. Exactly the same problem as the stainless steel unit. The 800mm mild steel unit: 1) As with the other units handles came off. 2) Arrived already with light rust in packaging. We made a complaint on the Jetmaster website, the local rep for Jetmaster, Mr Tim Brock responded, he came out to our premises on the 26th September, he inspected the units and promised a helpful response in 14 days, while he was here he even clumsily damaged a artpiece which he said he'd fix. On the 16th of October we sent a follow up email to Mr Brock which has remained unanswered to this day. To anyone considering installing or purchasing a Jetmaster braai I would not recommend that you do and that you rather look at an alternative brand. Jetmaster has over the years had a good name in the market, along with good service, but its apparent that they have lost their way and can no longer be considered mediocre.

Had our gas braai 15 years and it faithfully worked week in and week out. The burners finally started rusting but after 15 years who can complain about that. Spend the money on Jetmaster-it's worth it! We went cheaper with a Megamaster replacement and it started rusting after just a year....SO sorry now that we did

I am in the unfortunate position to own a Jet master gas braai. I live in Pretoria. All the rock in the fire tray has disintegrated after replacing it 4 years ago getting the replacement rock from Builders warehouse. It is a fact that after time the rock turns onto powder and disintegrates. I have traveled to all the retailers in Pretoria to replace the rock. All the stores have the same answers. "we have not seen a rep in years and when we order it it does not arrive. Today I called Jet master directly and was referred to a store Calmino Living in Pretoria who are agent I was told who stock the replacements items. May I say again I was not surprised when told sorry we don't have stock and I should rather order it from Jet master directly out of Johannesburg. So I call them back and was confronted with a receptionist that just cold not understand my frustration when I was told just delivery cost would be R450. 00 excluding vat and the cost of the goods. She actually told me to shut up. I then asked to speak to the manager. I spoke to a Mr. Reinhard. He told me that the big retail stores threw Jetmaster out of their stores and that orders for replacing the rock is exceptionally minimal. What a joke Well what can I say. I am retired from retail stores 37 years now. At one stage of my career I was a buyer for a known retail store. I have no difficulty now understanding why Jet master is not represented in the large known retail stores. If I was a buyer at a retailer store and experienced such pathetic service and arrogance, I cetainly whould not have listed Jetmaster products. I'm actually surprised that they are still in business. I would have thought that replacement vulcanic rock should be available at all times from accredited retailers in all major cities. It is important for customers to note that no ordinary rock can be used other than the vulcanic rock that was designed for use by this manufacturer. It is actually dangerous to use other rock which can explode and cause serious injuries. I will there also write to the ombutsman regarding this problem. Hennie Luies

Jetmaster supplied a Griller over a year ago which started with the knobs jumping off and apparently due to the heat it was generating. They changed the burners and now it is not a Griller anymore. Numerous attempts to resolve, no communication and constant promises. Needless to say, still not working and the sales person Tim Brock has run out of lies/ stories. Have asked for a refund or sort the issue out. Still Empty promises and no closer to closure. Such bad service and arrogance! I recommend to all using alternatives and speaking from experience!

After months trying to get local stores in KZN to assist with my rusted Jetmaster braai I eventually contacted the manufacturers in Alrode JHB direct. Absolutely top notch service so I just bought a completely new braai. Such a breath of fresh air getting good advice and great service. Thank you Jetmaster.
