Writing a review on behalf of King Price Insurance: Motorcycle claims Assessor I've been dealing with JMD for the last 5/6 years. We have never had any accountability issues. Yes, they sometimes do make mistakes, but they always own up to it and fix whatever needs fixing. Their quotes are fair and competitive. Their knowledge is unmatched and their clients always comes first. Please don't let negative reviews fool you. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Jossie is the owner, JMD carries his name and no amount of money will ever warrant anyone to speak derogative about it. He is hands-on involved and will always be fair. Give them a chance. Whether it's for insurance repairs, tyres, routine maintenance or ecu flashing and dyno tuning. They can do it. They have done it. They will do it again.

Sometime early September last year my bike was taken here for assessment and repairs, the feedback of the assessment seemed to take forever. Finally I was notified that my bike's repairable, great. Great? After weeks upon weeks and then month after month, chasing and following up, I finally get my bike back. Great and all, but first I wasn't given back my fuel, the bike still felt skew, rode skew, my clutch lever was still bent and my gear lever also still bent to a point where it kept getting stuck on a bolt whilst I'm trying to downshift. With this, months later when riding in the dark for the first time in a while, I discovered my headlight is pointing down and left, even though the brackets were apparently replaced. During this, I keep hearing a shearing/s****ing noise from the front wheel, which I initially thought was the wheel bearings. A few weeks later or however long, my rear brake locks up (the lever only, not the caliper) and then it dismantles itself, leaving me with no rear brake. Months later, I finally manage to hand in the bike back to them for repairs, again. They replaced the clutch lever, fixed the rear brake, sorted the skew headlight, discover the shearing noise I hear from the front wheel is actually the brake disc which was bent and wasn't noticed before/ picked up, and then bent the forks or whatever straight again. Some time later, I discover yet again a massive, massive issue. Somehow the dust cover for my steering bearings had been left off or forgotten, causing the bearings to gunk up with dust and crud. I decided to kick up a storm with my insurance to get it sorted because I was fed up. Earlier this week I discovered two dents on my left fork tube, interestingly in exactly the same spot on opposite sides of the tube indicating it was clamped down, which I hadn't noticed before. That said, l'd not trust them to fix it, lest I receive my bike back with a new issue, again. I commend Rosie for what she has to deal with and for how hard she tried to help me, but l'd steer clear of this shop. I definitely don't recommend even considering their services.

"-6 Month Mechanical Warranty on all used motorcycles" Don't believe them whatever you do, traded three amazing bikes, serviced with OEM manufacturers only. Bought and paid R750,000for a 8 month old Ducati V4R bike ****m later the "NEW" bike's clutch is slipping. Took the bike to Ducati only to be told the clutch, clutch basket etc etc is totalled, not wear and tare, ABUSED... clutch and friction plates are blue from overheating, clutch basket ripped, hub ripped. R50,741 later and Suzuki recons its wear and tear... Amazing, won't ever touch them, or recommend them to anyone.

Bought an Africa Twin there. If I was not mechanically inclined, I would've spent a lot of money paying a mechanic. The forks seals started leaking after a week of tar-road riding. The compression adjuster on one of the forks rotated max 7 clicks instead of 12. What a shame!!

I have been doing business with this company for the last 5 years. They have dropped from a 5* to a zero * over that time. The last 3 times that I took my motorbike for repairs has turned to 11 times due to the comebacks. Every time that I took my motorbike in for some fault, it was either not repaired and it had to go back once or twice to get it fixed (every time they claim something else but related went wrong and it will be an extra R 1500 or R 2 000) or something completely different went wrong and it cost R5 000 - R 10 000 to fix. Every time they have to order parts from Japan with a wait of 5-6 weeks. During 2019 my bike was for a total of 18 weeks with them!
