Declined or discriminated? The agent took us for a viewing to a property and started pressing for application documentation. We found a property listed by the same agent that is more in our budget. She again pressed for paperwork before we could go view. I sent everything through and told her that my husband is still on probation at his new job. They declined our application due to income being too low. We got a letter from his new employer stating what his monthly salary would be, in which case we would qualify. They then declined us again under the pretext of credit score. They did not want to help us from the minute I submitted my documents - because I have had to beg and plead and nag for feedback. Is it because I work for opposition estate agent?

I am absolutely infuriated by the deplorable conduct of this company. It's clear they operate with a complete disregard for fairness or honesty. My experience with Just Imagine Properties, particularly Anina, has been a nightmare. After investing in substantial security upgrades for the property, including a comprehensive 8-camera DVR system, and other valuable additions like a TV and a brand-new lawnmower, we found ourselves in a situation where we had to terminate our lease prematurely due to the need to emigrate. We had given notice in November of the previous year and had been accommodating enough to continue on a month-to-month arrangement until a new tenant was secured, based on our understanding. We explicitly informed Anina of our departure at the end of February and sought clarity on our deposit's return. During our move-out inspection on February 3rd, we were reassured that our deposit would be returned within a week, with no indication that it would be contingent upon finding a new tenant or that any deductions beyond maintenance would be made. The shock came when we were handed the paperwork to reclaim our deposit, only to discover that an exorbitant sum exceeding R8000 had been unjustly deducted, purportedly for rent covering the period until a new tenant was located—a mere two weeks after our departure. To add insult to injury, when I requested to retrieve the additional items we had left behind, they had the audacity to demand that I use their designated contractors to remove these items and repair any resultant wall damage, all at my expense. This situation is beyond unacceptable; it's outright exploitation and a blatant display of bad faith.

The worst agency ever. Promises for fixing up property. Thats supposed to be ready before you moved in. Dont fix anything, waiting for months before any approvals. Letting department sending out wrong water account months. Make arrangements with then and they turn around not assisting. My advice stay away from them. The worst group ever.

With the help of Just Imagine Properties we sold two properties in Pretoria during the last year. Kobus Eloff, agent in Menlo Park and Simon Ryke, Wonderboom South, was very skilled and professional. We truly appreciate the help we received from both of these gentlemen, thanks again guys!

The worst Agents I have ever came across. We started using them when renting a unit in Pretoria in February 2022, after a month or 2 we started experiencing challenges with the toilet, door bell (phone) and the main gate remote key which were no longer working. We reported all that immediately and they kept on telling us that they will send maintenance guys to come and check. It took them 3months from that date we reported on for them to send the guy, because I personally sent them a hot email. The guy came and he only fixed the toilet and quoted the door bell and the main gate remote key. It took them another 3months for them to come back to us, I sent another an email to follow up, they only told us that they are waiting for the owners of the unit to approve the quote. We then waited. From February until October 2022 we have been seeing different Agents assigned to deal with our unit. Every time we tried to follow up with them they told us that they are new they don't know a thing related to our unit ( so unprofessional). My question is, don't they do a proper handover to the new Agents regarding the properties they are assigning them on? We moved out in February 2023, we are still struggling to get our deposit money back. There's a new Agent again that deals with that unit. They did their inspection n found that we broke a small piece of window while moving furniture out of the unit which we came back to fix. They are telling us that there's splits of oil on the floor in the garage and they are waiting for a quotation from the people who are going to clean the splits. The garage was very dirty when we moved in there, we cleaned it up until it was safe for a car to park. We cleaned the garage when we moved out. Their lease agreement states that the deposit money will be affected only if there is a damage in the unit not dirt. My frustration is here, we moved back to Free State. My husband had to drive back to Pretoria to try and get more clarity on the matter. They disrespected the efforts he took and the distance he had to drive because of their unprofessionalism. They took him from pillar to post. Till now they did not pay back the deposit money. They really cost us a lot, we were also struggling when we bought prepaid electricity the municipality was deducting 60% for rates and taxes from every purchase which was not in the lease agreement. That rates and taxes was included in the monthly rent money we paid but between them and the owners someone was not paying the rates. And it came back to bite us since we were the ones occupying the unit. Im aware that they have been complaints about their bad and unprofessionalism. They keep on apologizing on the public platform yet continue with their unethical work behaviors. I want them to give us our hard earned money and leave us in peace.

I have never dealt with such unprofessional and appalling service. From the word go I had a bad experience, For example giving wrong information (that cost me money), making promises (not kept), not replying to emails, and agents resigning (for obvious reasons - If customers are treated this badly - I can't imagine (no pun intended) how employees are treated, In 3 months I dealt with 4 different employees (Agent manager included). Out of the four only one person rendered decent service. Even writing emails to the DP delivered no feedback, for this reason, I am resorting to this forum. If you plan to buy/sell/rent, please make use of another agency, even if this agency's service is bad - it will still be better than Just Imagine Properties. Their slogan "Where Dreams turn into Realty" should be changed to "Where dreams turn into nightmares"
