Despite ordering early, after 2 hours I had still not been served a simple breakfast order. Despite asking, twice, to see a manager, none was forthcoming. While the hostess comped my coffee, its not the point. I sat at the restaurant for over 2 hours and watched everyone else who arrived long after me, get their food. Waiting 40min for milk, for my coffee, was also not acceptable. All round disappointing. not even a water bowl for the dogs on a hot day (also, despite asking)

So today I took my wife out to Kapstadt Brauhaus for our 2-year anniversary, as we had heard very good things from other people about the Brauhaus. Unfortunately, we had a VERY bad experience. Firstly, I ordered the brandy special, but when I received it, the Coke was flat. We then wanted to order crumbed mushrooms, but were told they didn’t have any mushrooms. After that, we decided to order the smash burgers (this was the main thing we came for, and they looked so good — everyone around us had them). But 5–10 minutes after placing our order, we were told they had no more patties, so we had to settle for something we didn’t really want. I will not recommend them to anyone in the future, as this was probably the worst experience we've had at a restaurant.

We visited Kapstadt Brauhaus on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Despite the restaurant being less than 40% full, we waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes for our meals. The dishes did not arrive together, which completely disrupted the dining experience. What was particularly frustrating is that the waiter specifically said the children’s meals would be prioritized, yet they were served last. The kids received their simple hake and chips only after several adults had already finished eating. We came to share a meal together, but ended up eating at different times. When the steaks eventually arrived, they were overcooked and dry, despite us ordering them medium. We had to send them back, which meant an even longer wait. By the time the corrected meals came out, most of us had already finished eating. Personally, I had lost my appetite by then and ended up giving my steak away. What makes this more concerning is that the restaurant wasn’t even busy. It’s hard to understand how such delays and mistakes can happen in an almost-empty venue. Does the kitchen only begin preparing meals after defrosting items per order? If so, that raises serious concerns about food quality and hygiene. To add to the disappointment, we also noticed a significant decrease in portion sizes, particularly on nights when specials are offered. Overall, what should have been a pleasant birthday celebration turned into a frustrating evening. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving service, kitchen efficiency, and food quality, especially during quieter periods when there’s really no excuse for this level of service.

#kaapstadtbrauhaus Waterfront ....Decided to spoil my Son on his bday after boat ride to some Traditional German food , think twice , after 1hr30min waiting sons pizza arrived cold and tasteless , we still never got our food so we left , never to return again , for an International Tourist Restuarant I told the Manager it's sadly missing , I think he should have been more hands on than having a "fat chat" with table inside and rather checking on his other patrons , next time I will listen to my Son and go to the Spur!#disappointed#frustrated

Be Aware of being verbally abused by the manager in front of staff and customers and rather skip your visit to Durbanville Brauhaus. If you want to visit them for the first time, I highly recommend that you don't because your evening will end in disappointment if you try to complain about one specific unprofessional manager. Rather visit the Eden on the Bay Brauhaus for an delightful experience.

Be Aware of being verbally abused by the manager in front of staff and customers and rather skip your visit to Durbanville Brauhaus. If you want to visit them for the first time, I highly recommend that you don't because your evening will end in disappointment if you try to complain about one specific unprofessional manager. Rather visit the Eden on the Bay Brauhaus for an delightful experience.

Durbanville Kapstadt Brauhaus: What a revolting experience with the Management (Chandré Williams). After being a customer since they opened their doors - I am deeply saddened by how unprofessional and rude the Management was when I complained about the faul language being used against me in front of other customers. She also shares her private situation regarding her life with customers. What I drank and when I was at Durbanville Brauhaus was shared by her to the Public, showing that no one's privacy are guaranteed when you are at Durbanville Kapstadt Brauhaus which is very disturbing regarding going against the POPIA act. I think it is necessary that other people are aware of this and how one bad Manageress can cause so much harm to the name of Brauhaus in general. I have complained and sent emails - not one has been answered. I hope other customers will take this review serious and be vigilant about how this staff member can do as she pleases without intervention from the owner.

Horrible and petrifying experience from Kaapstadt Brauhaus Paarl. Received cold pizzas and when we complained waiter assaulted me. Grabbed my hand and squeezed it. Manager was also apparently a trainnee and didnt know how to handle the situation. Owner should definitely do something about his staff!!! Will never ever return!
