I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a demo vehicle from Kia. I was in the market for a new vehicle and was offered a demo that was presented as being in excellent, like-new condition. During the test drive and inspection, there was no visible damage to the vehicle, including no major marks or chips on the windscreen. Throughout the finance approval and purchasing process, the vehicle remained in good condition. However, on the day we traded in our old vehicle and collected the new one, multiple issues were discovered after the DEKRA inspection and roadworthy conducted on 5 November 2025. These included: Damage to the front bumper Several paint chips on the bonnet Two chips on the windscreen A tear in the rear seat belt behind the driver’s side (missed during inspection as it was tuck behind the back seat when you fold it down) Because we did not want the windscreen chips to worsen and turn into cracks, we paid out of our own pocket to repair them. We were assured that the front bumper damage would be rectified within a week of collecting the vehicle. This has still not been done. For the past three months, we have been going back and forth with the salesperson with no resolution. We were then told to wait 30 days before using the dent and scratch insurance — to fix damage that existed before we even took delivery of the vehicle. We are now expected to pay an insurance excess for damage we did not cause, which is completely unfair. We have been patient and attempted to resolve this through Kia directly, especially since DEKRA was used for the inspection. Unfortunately, this matter remains unresolved, and the lack of accountability and follow-through has been extremely frustrating. I expected far better service and responsibility from a brand like Kia.

Disastrous!!!!!! So I was VERY interested in purchasing a 2010 Kia Sportage from the dealership. after enquiring on 23 March 2020 I was unfortunately informed by the salesperson(BASIL) that the vehicle was sold on a Saturday 21 March 2020 already, however, a 24 hour "grace' period was still in effect and that he (the salesman) has second option should the sale not proceed. 24th March 2020 brought a message from BASIL that read: "I can safely offer the car for the next 24 hours" This message was after an apparent staff meeting held that morning?? So I was given a chance! (or so I thought). The application was completed by myself and sent through with some supportive doc's. I do not live in Gauteng, which necessitated me to hastily arrange a day's leave from my employer to travel to KIA EAST RAND to conclude the deal. Early the 25th March 2020, I filled up my car and took the road. About 50mins into my journey, I received a call from someone from the dealership. THE CAR HAD BEEN SOLD ON FRIDAY THE 20th ALREADY!!!!! Bull Sh%T I say!! These salesmen had meetings to discuss their sales etc!! Why then after a staff meeting tell me that the car can safely be sold to me for the next 24 hours?! I wasn't born yesterday, this car was probably reserved for a buddy over the weekend of 20 to 22 March , and BASIL was not informed of this "special" arrangement... Funny though, BASIL was not the person to call me while I was travelling, it was a totally different guy, and from there, I was referred to their management to explain the predicament. Through all the soppy excuses, I still could not get a logical and acceptable explanation as to why I was mislead?? As expected, I was furious!!! As a matter of recourse (and after I fought for it), they agreed to reimburse me the unnecessary fuel expense I had to incur. But lo and behold, until today 4 MAY 2020, I haven't received a penny!!!! (People of their word, aren't they?) I know that I am just one voice and probably won't cause much of a stir with my review, but keep this experience in the back of your mind if you ever cross paths with KIA EAST RAND!!

I bought a car at KIA motors and the sales person as good and friendly. He assisted me all the way. When i went to collect the car, the other key was not working and he told me that it will take a week to get a new battery. Its been almost three weeks and when i call him, he doesn't return my calls. I am under the impression that he sold me a spare key that does not work. Martin is good consultant and i gave him 5 star rating, but now i am disappointed.

I took my car in for battery change yesterday on Monday at 09:30am. Whole day i wasn't updated on the status of the car till today at 11 am that when i decided to call them. Again when i called no work was done as yet on the car. Since i have a maintenance plan i asked them to replace a window switch which they told me it not covered on maintenance plan of which it not the first time they say this, they said the same thing when they changed brake fluid two years ago. So i called again this afternoon at 16:00 to find out if they have finished, of which to my suprise they haven't even asked Liquid Capital for authorization to order a new battery. My car has been on dealership for two days and counting for mere battery change.
