La Perla restaurant,Sea Point
Just been to La Perla, Sea Point. What a disapointment! I am a South African and I expected more from such a well known restaurant. We could not be served due to load shedding,they had run out of fuel and extremely poor service.. Really!! After 10+ years of load shedding you still fail to plan??

Just been to La Perla, Sea Point. What a disapointment! I am a South African and I expected more from such a well known restaurant. We could not be served due to load shedding,they had run out of fuel and extremely poor service.. Really!! After 10+ years of load shedding you still fail to plan??

Will not be returning
Absolute disappointment. First time back in 10 years and will never return. Service is slow, food is very average (with above average prices), table was basically broken - if you rest your arms on it, it falls over in your lap - unfriendly and irritated staff, THE BATHROOM!! The floor is so dirty and sticky that your shoes get stuck and when you go back upstairs where it's carpeted you can still feel your feet sticking to the carpet. Last time I saw a bathroom so disgusting was when I still went to clubs, only difference is you are not shocked when a place full of drunk people looks like that. The structure is falling apart. Walls are cracked, concrete broken off from beams, wires hanging out. Only thing that was great was the margaritas. That's why I'm giving two stars.

LA PERLA VERY BAD ALL ROUND
Hi we were there last night all 6 of us and it was sooo disgusting all round.. Firstly this buis makes 500k pm min I've been coming there for 45 yrs so I know... We had loadshedding from 8pm on Dec 19th 2022...u want to tell me a place so famous has no generator... BELIEVE ME THEY CAN AFFORD IT PLUS SOLAR INVERTOTLR... we were served cold soles x 3 portions.. 2 cold fillets.... No bread etc.... Etc..... IT WAS DISGUSTING THEN OUR WAITER WANTED THE TIp OF R450 IN CASH.... F.. CHEEK... we were so embarrassed in front of our new York guests..... So bad food bad service **** ambiance no gas burners to warm our food... Few thousand bucks bill very forward waiter.... **** all round well done LA Perla.....

they served me rotten sole
I went to order a meal. My second order which was a a sole pesto with cream. I was so hungry and rushed in having my first bite. the fish was totally rotten to the core. Had to spitt it out run to the toilet as i had to vomit. Manager and waiter apologised and voided my bill. Ill probably spend months without eating fish. Its a total shock of how they fail to check their stock. The fish was actually stinking when you smell it. Makes me wonder about their overall hygiene. Ill never have a meal in that establishment ever again
