Laptop4u is a scam: Be warned!
I bought a MacBook Air 2015 model. It was delivered with no problem. However, the charger was not working. I contacted the company and they mentioned they will send out a new charger. I kept on following up and each week i was told it is on the way. This was in July. I ended up buying a charger and when i managed to login in, the password details did not work. I ended up taking it to an IT technician who managed to get the password. Now that the laptop is working, there is an icloud account which was not removed. I am not able to download anything or update anything without the password. Again I contacted them and they promised to work on it and get back to me. No response, the continue to ignore my messages and calls. Every phone call you are told the same thing. At this point, I want my money back, but a previous client warned customers about returning the laptop as they will not get their money back. Basically, these people are a scam. You are lucky if you get what you want. I would like the laptop to be taken back and my money refunded. I bought this laptop for business, but I have not been able to use it at all. 8k down the drain!!! I am really upset and disappointed.

Stolen laptops? Scam…
I think that this may be a scam. I bought a “new” laptop but it came scratched with no box, no papers, nothing official. I tried to contact them only to be ignored over and over, they answer when you use another phone number then when realise it is you, they put down. I would like to refer this matter to the police as I am concerned this laptop is stolen.

Poor Online "Whatsup" service and poor English skills.....
Hello, I just wanted to say I thank my God above that I found this site! I was getting ready to order a R 12,000 Apple Mac Pro from this company. I typed in "Reviews on Laptop4u" and got this site. I was hoping I would find some information on this company. I only decided to look them up; when today they didn't even bother to converse with me through their little icon they have on the bottom right of the screen. I did speak to them a few weeks ago... when I was still researching all the different laptops there are to buy in my price range. On that day they did respond back to me, but I found their English skills to be a bit poor. The tenses were not correct etc, and after each question I had; they took about 5 minutes to get back to me. Then.... they just left me hanging and never said goodbye or, "Sorry but we are busy right now" etc. I thought that was a bit odd, but tried to blow it off. Today, however, I was ready and able to finally buy the laptop of my dreams. But after being stood up and made to wait.... for nearly an hour with no reply - I decided to google them and found this site. I'll also say that during my last conversation with them.... I asked about the laptop in the picture that says the battery has only 122 cycles on it. They then told me that one was sold already, but they had a rather new one with only 518 cycles. However, the website plainly says that every laptop shown in the pictures.... is indeed the one for sale, but not so with me! Also no power cord or charger was listed along with the laptop, so make sure and ask about that. Note: ( Strange that today... over six weeks later...the same laptop with 122 cycles is still listed for sale, but it was sold even back then. ) My rating here may not mean much in the end, but I felt I should add my 2 cents. I did not buy anything from them, but did feel uneasy when I was online with their rep. He didn't come across as a computer geek of any kind of savy person. I felt like I was trying to pull teeth to get each answer out of him. Why did I even come back to that site after over a month away? Good question....lol. Actually, because now I have the funds and was doing some last minute checking and just happened to land on "laptops4u" again. I had totally forgotten my experience with them before, because.... as I said; "I blew it off" Well, today after no one replied, it brought it all back to me, and so I googled them for any reviews. Maybe there are some good people working there, and if so.... I'm sorry, but hey... your company should also be responding to all of these negative reviews and should be trying hard to make things right. That would go a long way.... as you know what they say about silence..... it makes people wonder! Taking the 5th.... is not good business!!! Cheers.....

Worst deal of my life
Bought a laptop, received it with the wrong rating charger. It did not have the Office2019 installed as per the add. It crashed the moment I started it for the first time. WIndows is completely broken,cannot even run its own fault finding, cannot do updates, cannot install any programs as it requires the updates before I can install my programs. I did not even receive an invoice for my purchase. Maybe I should give a recommendation to SARS about this one. Be very carefull before you do business with this company. Seems to be a bunch of chancers.

You get what you pay for.
Prices are good, but you find out why later... Bought a laptop and received a faulty charger. Went back, got a different charger. Less than 6 months later the charger starts arcing so I want to get it replaced- only to find that it isn't covered by warranty. Asked for advise- they told me I wouldn't get a warranty anywhere else; so I phoned somewhere else to check and- what do you know: 6-12 month warranty for a new charger. Very frustrating experience.
