Bought a new brush cutter. Used it 3 times. I took it back twice. Supposedly the head was bent. I was told it had been hit into a hard service. The quote for repair was more than the purchase price. They wanted to do ‘service’ it as well. I paid to have the gearbox and cable feed replaced. I couldn’t prove that I hadn’t misused the cutter. Avoid like them plague.

Tableview branch: The Generator bought from them still under warranty. Firstly, i used the invoice to pay the R 900-00 service fee. I was told to pay it into another account as the business had just been sold. I would not do this as i used the original invoice with banking details. The branch in Bellville eventually reversed it. I was told by the owner of Tableview to pick up the machine as he would not help me. Still under warranty ? The problem was resolved and he charged R 1200-00 to fix it with a R 952-00 labour fee.... all while being under warranty. The owner is a horrible man with a huge chip on his shoulder. I will never ever use them again. People be aware: the after sales service is of the worst kind i have ever experienced. Do not shop here....

Made I big, big mistake!! I did not check Hellopeter before using Lawnmower Mecca, Bellville. Went on the reputation the business had many years ago. Now iit is staff only by foreigners from the DRC. R200 for an quote, has taken more than two days. Electric mower with a suspect capacitor. The capacitor cost R149 approx from Takelot. Should take an idiot in diy like myself maybe 10 minutes. PLEASE, PLEASE, DON'T USE THEM, STAY AWAY!!!! You note they don't respond to reviews on Hellopeter. Just don't give a flying fish about customers.

Took my lawnmower in for service. It was running perfectly well but needed new blades so I thought I might as well get a service. Quoted me well over R3000 to replace rings and service. Clearly I declined this ridiculous quote as the mower was running fine. Asked them to just replace the oil and blades. On collection, oil was still black. Unfortunately I had already paid and the staff assured me oil had been changed. At home mower would not start and backfired. I bought new oil, new spark plug and changed them myself and cleaned the air filter. Voila! Mower runs perfectly well again. Of course the new oil is clear and obviously they did not even bother to change it despite having charged for it. Also, spark plug appears to have been sabotaged. Gap to small, gummed up and probably the wrong size (lawn trimmer smaller size but not sure if these run fine on a mower, but standard plug works perfectly well). I strongly suspect these guys are ripping off customers big time and see someone else had a similar experience. Please watch out for these guys or better yet steer clear.

These guys are sharks! I have supported this business many times by buying parts and equipment from them. I experienced some issues starting my Ryobi Brush Cutter after about two years of hassle free operation. It seemed like the rope on the starting pulley randomly got stuck. The brush cutter needed a service anyway so I took it to Lawnmower Mecca Bellville. The quote I got back was in excess of R2200 after paying a quotation fee of R200. I instructed Lawnmower Mecca Bellville to not repair it and that I would collect it the next Saturday. Upon arrival the owner immediately said the brush cutter was basically seized and required numerous new parts and that he would not spend that kind of money on the repairs. Furthermore he wanted to sell me a second hand one immediately. I spelt a RAT. I declined and took the brush cutter home. After inspection I found it to be in a bad state of assembly with various parts loosely assembled but the starting rope was working fine. Upon further investigation I found that they had purposefully sabotaged the brush cutter. The spark plug clearance had been hit flat with a hammer and the fuel pipes were leaking profusely. I decided to take it to Ryobi in Montaque Gardens. They inspected it, serviced it and installed a new brush cutter spark plug and gave me new cutting cord and it cost R185.82. How does an R185.82 service and repair end up costing more than R2200 at Lawnmower Mecca Bellville? They have lost a loyal customer for ever! PS: I would not even have given them 1 star rating here but the system did not allow me to continue otherwise.

Specifically took the lawnmower in just for a carburetor gasket, 3 weeks later after no reply I go to them to find out what's happening only to be told that now I need a new engine. Was given back the lawnmower in pieces and not only do I now have to go look for a carburetor gasket but a head gasket aswell.

I called this morning asking for a price on an air filter for my lawnmower and gave the part number. I was quoted R150. On arrival, I was charged R185. The person that I had spoken to said \Oh
