LDS Distribution has been extremely disappointing. They are not picking up calls, and there has been no communication. My parcel was dispatched from the sender on the 9th and arrived at the Durban facility on the 10th. It has now been over six days with no delivery. Poor service and lack of accountability.

Recently we received a consignment through LDS from Sciquip SA (pinetown) which got damaged in transit (Laboratory equipment) In spite of having a fragile sticker on the boxes the items especially the beakers & test tubes were all shattered. we had to inform LDS about the damage and we were asked to provide pictures & paper work to prove the damage. However ever since we keep sending emails to check up on the status of the claim But No response whats so ever.

I needed a document delivered to Rwanda urgently (lives literally depended on it). From documentation, collection and delivery the process was seamless. The team from LDS kept me informed every step of the way. The documents arrived 24hrs ahead of schedule despite a public holiday. Thank you. #customerforlife

Logistical Distribution Services - absolutely not my favourite company right now. The freezer (170 kg), for which I paid delivery, was placed on my verandah, in the walkway. It was only an extra nine metres and the freezer would have been delivered to where it needed to be placed. They refused to tilt it through the doorway (even though I authorised them to tilt it), but admitted to the store owner that they had tilted the freezer to get it off the truck. They refused to come back and put it in the right place. Neither the store owner nor I can get them to come back. Apparently they only planned 2 people for the job, and it's too heavy to tilt (despite the weight and dimension already having been declared on the waybill). Poor planning. So this technically means that anyone with a doorway, if the goods need to be tilted, should not necessarily expect their heavy goods to be delivered inside. To add insult to injury, despite me being charged for the delivery of heavy goods, and having paid for the item itself... apparently I'm not the client. So apparently I can't tell them where it should go. My verandah, in the walkway/my outdoor lounge area, is where the freezer is stuck - all 170 kg. (To their credit, it's not damaged, across the 25 km trip.) You choose whether poor service from Logistical Distribution Services is what is expected from a courier company.

This company does not know what client service is, the worst courier to use by far!!! No communication, no online tracking updates and it seems the employees them selves don't work off a proper system for each consultant has different details.

I used LDS couriers services since march 2019. Had no problems with collection, transportation and delivery of parcels . Admin and accounts is a disaster. You provide them with detail (sizes and weight) and desitination of the parcel. They provide you with a quotation for the collection and delivery of the parcel. Customer pays the quation fee and LDS collects and delivers the parcel without any problems. The problem is when you get the monthly statements and accounts. They charge more than the quoted price. You pay the extra charge and provide them with the proof of payment. LDS accounts do not read their customers emails or update the accounts. I have sent proof of payment for one specific shipment more than 8 times but the amount is still refkecting outstanding on my account. I have phoned , emailed , and provided proff of payment in order to get my account updtated. Every month I get the same statment and account still showing that I owe them money for my first shipment paid in March 2019. I am now gatvol because they are not reading my emails or updating my account. This is unacceptable. It does not help to have a good delivery service , but poor admin that double charges you for your shipments. I do not know how to get my account updated because sending them emails does not work.
