Generally fast delivery. The feedback on incidents has been good and proactive - e.g. boxes repackaged if they damaged them, or if a customer wasn't available at the time of delivery.
Good service from Gareth at Auto&General reviewing premium hike to a more palatable number.
Logistical Distribution Services - absolutely not my favourite company right now. The freezer (170 kg), for which I paid delivery, was placed on my verandah, in the walkway. It was only an extra nine metres and the freezer would have been delivered to where it needed to be placed. They refused to tilt it through the doorway (even though I authorised them to tilt it), but admitted to the store owner that they had tilted the freezer to get it off the truck. They refused to come back and put it in the right place. Neither the store owner nor I can get them to come back. Apparently they only planned 2 people for the job, and it's too heavy to tilt (despite the weight and dimension already having been declared on the waybill). Poor planning. So this technically means that anyone with a doorway, if the goods need to be tilted, should not necessarily expect their heavy goods to be delivered inside. To add insult to injury, despite me being charged for the delivery of heavy goods, and having paid for the item itself... apparently I'm not the client. So apparently I can't tell them where it should go. My verandah, in the walkway/my outdoor lounge area, is where the freezer is stuck - all 170 kg. (To their credit, it's not damaged, across the 25 km trip.) You choose whether poor service from Logistical Distribution Services is what is expected from a courier company.
Excellent service. Delivered in good time. Staff are friendly.
Very impressed with their service. Delivery times are good, and any queries are dealt with quickly.
I ordered 48 mm x 100 m (box of 36 rolls) packaging tape for our business. After the order was placed online, the supplier phoned me. He indicated they do not have 100 m rolls in stock. They only have 50 m rolls, and could supply 72 rolls instead (and it would be over a month before the 100 m rolls became available). I phoned him back, asking him to cancel, as the 50 m rolls do not suit our purposes, and I need the 100 m rolls now. He indicated I needed to contact Makro for a cancellation. (Makro’s processes should not even have allowed the order to proceed if there was no stock.) I phoned “order cancellations” at Makro before even 1 hour of placing the order was up. The gentleman told me he had no authority to cancel the order. (So I would ask what is the point of having a number for cancellations where someone does not actually have the authority to do what is advertised?) The sales and marketing team would be in touch, he said. Nobody phoned me several days later. So I phoned and was placed on hold. I gave up and emailed. I received a support ticket saying that the finance department would be in touch, and the support ticket has been attended to. I got an email from finance saying the support ticket has been attended to. This is shocking service. Bear in mind – I’m not cancelling on a whim. Makro cannot actually fulfill the order for which money was accepted in the time frame they committed to. I want my R800 back. Makro has taken money for a product advertised that was not actually available. Rightfully, I am entitiled to my money back. Please tell me how I am supposed to get my money back from Makro? I have now ordered from another supplier (on Takealot!) who can actually deliver what was advertised in a reasonable time frame. What is the process for getting my money back please?
I was initially worried about purchasing from a company I didn't know. SA Webshop had positive reviews on Hellopeter and Google, so I took a chance. What a wonderful company. Paul contacted me to let me know that the stock would only be arriving 23 December... possibly not in time for Christmas. He offered me a refund and even sent me the link for their competitor who keeps stock of s similar item. (Seriously, who is normally this nice?!?) SA Webshop has the better brand I wanted, but Father Christmas is caught between a rock and hard place to get it in time. If I wasn't under time pressure, I would have waited till it arrived. SA Webshop is a pleasant and genuinely helpful company. I pray they succeed for their genuine goodwill. With grateful thanks, Melanie PS I'll post the same review on Google, just because it's rare to come across such a pleasant online shopping experience.
Ordered in October 2020... it was supposed to arrive in 5 working days. It's now Jan 2021. It never arrived - and this was my first order with Wish. Website tells me it could be due to bad weather!!! Seriously? I can't even post a review on the site.
