How can you tell when a Lawyer is lying? His lips are moving.
Where to start, it was all just awful. I went onto the Group because I am looking for some legal advice on a Labor Dispute I am having with my previous company. Whilst on there, typing up my question, I saw a lady had asked a question; about the legalities around evicting a Tenant, who hadn't paid rent in 6 months. She wanted some advice on what she could do. So I commented, to say that, many years ago, what a friend of mine did, was 'move into the house' where the Tenants were living, making it difficult for them to live, and then they eventually moved out after one week. Now, I know that was many years ago, and not applicable now, or even legal, but your 'robot' Admins on there, started having a go at me - all of them. I commented that I knew if was AGES ago, I was just writing something interesting/a story (to be light-hearted and remind us how times have changed). Then, the one Admin said, that was useless information, rather don't post anything at all than post nonsense. So, I told her to "GO FLY A KITE" (not in those words, unfortunately, I was very angry and I swore - (I apologize for that) - and removed myself from the Group. I cannot believe what a hateful and awful bunch of Admins run that Group. It's like kicking a dog when it's down. Surely, they could've just said: "Unfortunately, we don't allow stories on here, we only allow legal questions and answers." Then, I would have understood and left. So, perhaps you need to re-look at your customer service s****s on that Group and not attack everyone on the Group, that maybe says the wrong thing, or is not sure about certain things. Otherwise, all you'll have left is an empty Group, with 10 Admins talking to each other. P.s. I wish there was an option for half a star - I feel like a full star is even too much.

Terrible Treatment by Legal Talk Facebook
I was defamed by the group admin A random notification popped up on my Facebook page where people where asking about the costs of a notary. I am not a notary and get no kick backs for any referrals to notaries. I just commented by giving the estimated pricing and I said the person can inbox me I can help them find one in their area. The group admin immediately posted a rather rude message about not inboxing - surely she can understand that one can not be expected to read the rules every time a random notification pops up from a group. I then messaged on the wall to say sorry any attorney is also a notary and I just mentioned the one I know. She then openly defamed me on Facebook saying that I clearly don’t know how to read when once again by the very nature of social media one can’t be expected to be treated in such a manner. If the group has such strict rules the rules should pop up every time they send out a notification. I messaged her to ask her to remove my tag and if she is unable to do so to notify me so that I can inform Facebook. I feel utterly humiliated and I feel that should I not receive an apology from the administrator as she could’ve handled it in a much more diplomatic manner where I would’ve apologized rather then humiliate me and if the posts mentioning my name are not taken down I’ll have no option but to take the matter further as it is dangerous for a social media group to behave in the manner they have done.

Unethical behaviour of admins of Legal Talk South Africa Facebook
I joined the LTSA page a year or so ago. Recently, I read a thread about deposits for rental houses, and the discussion turned to where the deposit should be placed. One of the advisers said he would insist on the deposit being paid into Capitec Bank. I commented that as far as I was aware, this is not a legal requirement, the legislation just states that it should be paid into an interest bearing account. Well, this seemed to unhinge this "man", and he unleashed a torrent of abuse on me, being insulting and derogatory. I gather he lost his temper partly because I did not respond immediately, but some of us have a life, and don't spend it on Facebook. I was actually shocked at such appalling behaviour, and only managed to respond the next day, after I had recovered from his aggressive personal attack. I said I was not his wife, nor his child nor his dog, to speak to me like that, and that his aggressive attack was unprovoked, and uncalled for, and in fact it turns out it WAS his personal opinion and not law at all. The forum supposedly emphasised leaving one's personal opinions out of comments. I said I viewed his remarks as a form of online cyber bullying. However, I saw that not only had he removed his offensive remark, he had blocked me too! The typical hallmark of a cowardly bully, instead of apologising for his outburst - run as soon as you are confronted and your behaviour called out. I decided just to leave it, until I tried to sign back into the forum the other day. To my surprise I am no longer a member! What does this signify - that the admins of this forum have got something to hide, siding with, aiding and abetting an intolerant bully? Are they condoning and complicit in his unacceptable and disrespectful behaviour? Are they protecting and endorsing it? What greater acknowledgement of this advisers guilt can there be? What it does tell me, is that they have behaved unehtically, and it wont be left here. The Law Society should be able to say whether this person or any of the admins are practising attorneys - I cannot abide bullying especially when it is tolerated by others.
