My wife was admitted on the 1st Dec 2024 under the care of Dr.Phofa. She went to theatre on the same day and was discharged on the 3de December....On the 5 December she was rushed back to the hospital.Dr.Phofa was called and informed that one of his patients were back with complications. The Doctor downplayed it as if nothing was wrong...I insisted on a second opinion and Dr.Jaffer was then brought in.Dr.Jaffer made her own investigation and found that Dr.Phofa had cut my wife and she had to be taken back to theatre. Currently my wife is still in hospital with a Stoma Bag as a result of negligence of Dr.Phofa. The thing that makes me mad is the fact the Dr.Phofa think it's a joke playing with people's life.To date he never came to ask for forgiveness and is still in and out of theatre and continues to hurt people even after I had a meeting with the hospital management. Please if would not even advise my enemy to use Dr.Phofa

The fact that a whole week went by after I submitted a review on the Poor Service at Randfontein Lenmed....still no response from any of them....Tells you what the management thinks of customer service

My girlfriend had no chronic illnesses but she died just a few hours after she was admitted because she was given way too much drip which even made her face swollen.no doctor attended to her till it was too late.all they said is that her heart stopped and no further explanation.she always complained about the hospital and the reason why I didn’t take her out is something that I will regret for the rest of my life

What pathetic service with my first encounter with the hospital. This should never ever happen, especially at the private hospital. I called the hospital number, the receptionist transferred my call and the call dropped off. I then tried to call 10 times already and no one was picking up the call. All I needed is ER consultation costs for cash paying patients. Including cash cost for drawing up blood for the purpose of checking blood pressure as we have patient who need urgent assistance.

I've been admitted to Lenmed Kathu twice within 2 weeks apart. At first the service was below standard and complaints fell on deaf ears. I am a high risk patient and require special care. Under the new management appt. Last week a lot of my concerns was immediately addressed and followed up on. The new Unit Manager together with her staff works around the clock to address our issues and attends to our needs besides the shortage in staff. I would like national management to address that. It is impossible for a RN to do rounds with the Dr, issue meds and attend to multiple patients singlehandedly on a daily. The new Specialist and Surgeon Dr Naidoo S&T is also highly skilled and professional perhaps the best thing to happen to the hospital in recent years, now we don't have to travel several hundreds of kilometres for expertise. I am excited to see the growth and turnaround under the new leadership. Thank you to my team, the unit manager, nurses, cleaners and kitchen for a comfort stay after many disappointing run ins previously.
