Price x2 as everything is sent from Thailand
This website shows discounted magnetic screens made in South Africa. I made on order for R1400. I then realised the truth when I received different emails: - everything is made and sent from Thailand - I have to pay R80 fees for the international bank charges - I have to pay R788 for custom taxes to DHL - no office in South Africa at all We will contact the South African embassy end Thailand embassy to inform them about this business. We strongly recommend to avoid this website in Thailand, and find the same products directly in South Africa.

Misleading Advertising
Okay so I was fooled and it was my own fault. I didn’t read the fine print. The very very fine print. Free delivery for sure (worked into the price already in any case). Aah but you are caught out on the import tax. Being a .co.za company I thought it was local. IT IS NOT LOCAL!!! It is imported from Thailand so you need to pay import tax. So my 500 x 500 mm screen cost me R950 PLUS additional R516 for import tax. So please people, rather support local!! Much cheaper and the same and better quality. Fool me once!!! I couldn’t select a minus star rating.

Misleading Advertising

Magneticscreens.co.za Be warned
Avoid this company at all costs. What is advertised on the website is not what you get at all. Not only did they get the order wrong, they also sent an inferior custom door insect screen with a different colour, material, stitching and without the 3M mangnets as ordered. In my opinion this is a fraudulent company.

Magneticscreens.co.za Be warned
Avoid this company at all costs. What is advertised on the website is not what you get at all. Not only did they get the order wrong, they also sent an inferior custom door insect screen with a different colour, material, stitching and without the 3M mangnets as ordered. WARNING! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SUPPLIER!
WARNING! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SUPPLIER! They are not based locally even though they trick you into believing that they are with a ZA domain, local address and ZA flag all over the site! The goods come from Thailand! I had to incur loads of hidden costs for CUSTOMS DUTY that is not included in the price. To make matters worse, they did not declare the one item so things were under declared and the commercial invoice was incorrect. This means SARS has hit me with PENALTIES to the value of R1500 and DHL processing fees for the VOC that had to be done R1000. After paying R1030 for my fly door and fly swatter, I then paid R500 for customs duty. I am now forfeiting my products and cash because I REFUSE to pay a further R2500 to get the goods released from customs. I have emailed them asking them to pay for this as it is their incompetence and errors but no one is responding. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. I feel completely scammed!

Please be aware that this product is coming from overseas and even though the shipping is advertised as "free", you will be liable to pay for VAT and Duties. My screen costed R1690 and I was slapped with a DHL bill of R671.75. The "free" shipping is misleading and I wrote to *********** and received no feedback. I do not want my money back, this product actually is ( surprisingly ) very good, easy to install and looks durable and I wrote suggesting that they should make the whole shipping and costing procedure more honest. For this quality, I would have paid R2500 without thinking twice... but this nasty surprise of an unforeseen VAT and Duties bill makes the experience unpleasant.
