I am trying to sleep but cannot because of what I experienced from what is called a professional law firm. I do not know where to start because the level of incompetence that I have experience from this law firm makes me wonder why is it so popular in some areas or is it people do not know or understand quality service or what a competent legal firm looks like. I bought a house and had to call forever before I could get my title deed. On review of the document, I discovered that my ID was incorrect. I am trying to sell the property and so far when I raised the issue some character by the name of Lynn tells me I have to pay for the id to be corrected( for the mistake they made) as this is what they normally do and get the title deed holder to pay for their mistakes and it looks like that has worked for them. I refused to pay for that and eventually she had to consult someone who said they will pay. The transfer of the property is delayed because now twice the documents were sent back from the Deeds Office because of errors she had committed(and am talking basic things that you'd think she does everyday). The cherry on top is that one of the reasons is that the Title Deed I have is not an original and she is not even ashamed to say she gave me the original. I just do not think she has a conscience anymore the way she operates and talks to people which means for the transfer of my property, the transferring attorneys has to apply for a new Title that I have to pay for. Whether she is even qualified to do this job is a discussion for another day. She well knows that the truth of the matter is they lost my original and gave me a copy. I do not know where this Lynn comes from but I am sure this law firm can do much better than insult my intelligence like that. I am not prepared to pay for a new title deed and will approach the rightful offices to deal with this matter.

So I bought a house in Clayville and they were the transferring attorneys. Signed in 19 May. Turns out the place was registered on 30 June. Only found out on 24 Aug when I sent them an email finding out why I haven’t been receiving any updates re the transfer process. Lynn, the attorney, called and apologized for not letting me know. Called to organize to pick up the title deed. The gentleman that answered the phone, turned out to be an attorney too, told me Lynn was on lunch and that I needed to call back later. When I asked why he was not taking the message to ask her to call me back he started telling me I was being “technical”. When I got there he was not nice at all. Anyway, am still waiting for the account to be finalized so I can get a refund. Grateful that the transfer was done within 2 months - the firm needs to tighten up on the communication channels and staff behavior towards its clients.

These attorneys were assigned to help with the house transfer since march 2020. Till date the transfer hasn't been going through. So i emailed them to give me my refund. Only to learn that he had already paid the seller....
