I was dismissed, I am trying to register for UIF but unable to as the name of the company on the UI-19 doesnt match with what the labour dept. has on the system. At the labour they need a letter (on a company letterhead) stating the relation between Merchants SA(UI-19 FORM) and Merchants Group SA (Labour information). On the 25th September 2025, which they have not rep**** to. I need help as I am about to forfeit the benefits. 0731208475

This looks like a fly by night company for some reason. I just don't understand why a huge company like them would have such poor communication. You'd keep sending them email regarding your interview and they would not reply to you. I'm just sceptical about the place I won't lie, but something seems OFF about the place I don't know .. specifically the one in Parktown.. I don't know about the other buildings.

This looks like a fly by night company for some reason. I just don't understand why a huge company like them would have such poor communication. I have a complaint about Gugu Nkosi who works at Merchants, I don’t know if she is a recruiter or whatever she is. She is rude to almost everyone who is sending their resumes and when called she still has a bad attitude and just plain rude but wants to hire customer service consultants?

Merchants vice president Shane Mukhansi is ***ualy praying on call center woman. He predatory game is to use his position at merchants as vie president to guarantee them employment as call center agents in return for unlimited ***ual favors. Atleast 5 woman have resigned because of this behavior but merchants brush this under the rug. They know full well about it. Shane Mukhansi shanganigans started when he was head of operations being in charge of the cell c call centre in jhb cbd to coca cola where he systimtcly exploits vulrenable woman in the workplace.. ***ual advances are the norm when he is at the call centre and everybody knows it

I worked for MERCHANTS SA for 6 not that bad at all however I was retrenched in August and still have not been able to get my UIF as their HR/Payroll department is unable to send the correct forms. They first gave me the incorrect salary schedule and then gave me a UI-19 form with the incorrect remuneration amount. I have been waiting since September for this to be corrected. I was advised that Ernestine Nyenhuis is the only person who could correct this however nothing has been sent. Totally disappointed.

I work for the DoorDash Business unit and today as it is Christmas I feel they didn’t care about our safety because they refused to book transportation for us in town it’s 7pm it’s late and we were stranded as their workers I feel very unsafe

I spoke to a lady called Nceba from Makro online under Merchants SA. This agents refused to give me her surname and said she is not allowed. I had called to do a follow up on a refund I requested in September after Makro failed to deliver my items ordered on the 1st of August 2024. I spoke to Nceba today the 15th of October 2024. Who was so eager to get rid of me even when I told her I do not mind holding for her team leader or manager. She then continued to tell me that I have to release the line as there are other customers waiting to get through. So Merchants SA I want to find out from you, do you teach your consultants to treat customers as a number and not as a valued client. I've known merchant to be the best outsourcing company, never in my life thought I will get such a terrible service from one of your consultants. The worst unprofessional, unfair, *******, fly by night outsourcing company I have ever worked for. The CCM which is bradley jacob's, Ops Manager which is nomsa ngophe, team leader Lesego shayi and HR which is nomathamsanqa are refusing to give me my UIF documents after they fired me in a hearing which was chaired by neville moodley who works there at Merchants in Fox Street Johannesburg. They fired me after they said I am abusing sick leave whereas I provided documents and I still had 11 sick leave days left but they let me go after neville the chairperson in the hearing who has a position at Merchants told me I'm surplus to requirements. I have been in communication with Lesego shayi, the current team leader who doesn't have product knowledge about my UIF documents up until now I haven't received anything even the Alexander Forbes money I haven't received. That company is exploiting its workers to the core leaving them with nothing, every month there's a pay query but supposedly the HR went to school for this. If I was Vodacom I would cancel my contract with Merchants pre paid department, Vodapay department and business because Vodacom name is being dragged in the mud.
