On the 8th of April 2026 I bought a car from MFC Auction house in Kempton Park this a division of Nedbank for R58,732.50. The prior DEKRA report provided by MFC did not show any issues on the chassis. However, when I took it for my own DEKRA roadworthy test, it failed due to a severe undisclosed chassis fault. On 22 April 2026, I returned the car to MFC. Their team inspected it, acknowledged the fault, and took the car back. Since then, MFC has held both my money and the vehicle for nearly a month. The case handler completely ignores my emails. I spoke to an internal staff member who informed me that management has officially declined my request to swap the car for another one of similar value. Yet, they are still r not refunding my money or reimburse me for the R5,230.50 I spent on new tyres and licensing before discovering the defect. MFC is ********ly holding R63,963.00 of my money, leaving me stranded with no car and no communication. I need Nedbank Management to intervene immediately.

Platform is misleading and the process lacks safeguards I recently used MFC Auction's online platform to bid on a vehicle and due to the confusing layout of the site, I ended up placing a bid on the wrong listing entirely. This was not a case of buyer's remorse the platform does not make it sufficiently clear which vehicle you are actively bidding on before you confirm, and there are no adequate warnings or review steps before a bid is locked in. When I realised the error and contacted MFC Auction to raise the dispute, getting a proper response was a frustrating experience. For a platform handling financial transactions of this magnitude, the lack of a clear, accessible dispute resolution process is unacceptable. I also paid a registration deposit to participate in the auction, and recovering that deposit after raising the dispute has been unnecessarily difficult. There is no transparency around timelines or what the process looks like from the customer's side. Nedbank MFC is a reputable institution, and I expected the auction platform to reflect that standard. Unfortunately, the user experience and the support when things go wrong falls well short. If you are considering using this platform, please proceed with extreme caution and double check every detail before confirming any bid. I hope this gets resolved, but I wanted to share my experience so others are aware of the risks before participating.

My mother arranged to pay for the shortfall of R80 000 by monthly installments of R2 000 from June 2022 with MFC, yesterday she was told she owes R36 000 on her balance and they give her the run around when she asks for proof. I believe they are taking advantage of her

Hi MFC Auctions,I was interested in a car which when I firstly enquired i was told the car is available for purchase, soon as I had the funds ready for the transaction I was told the car going for an auction which I needed to deposit the amount to reserve the car. I deposited the amount but was was told it had declined as my payment was late so I was informed I needed to pay an extra amount which will total a 50% of the advertised car amount. I suggested that I will kot be able to pay the amount as I haven't seen the car which I have been promised a refund which I am still waiting for. Nobody is answering my calls and the sales consultant including the senior sales consultant are ignoring me especially Shane Micholsonwhonis the senior consultant

Goodmorning mfc I'm writing this message out of disappointment due to lack of professionalism of your consultant named " May" from Kempton park auction house. I saw the that sparked my interest online which was advertised under mfc auction house Kempton park. Which asked the procedure of purchasing out of action. Then was told I have to bid for the car with an amount of R5000 so I could receive the buyers code so i could come and view the car separately in which I paid the amount. Then after paying the amount I was told to pay for an additional amount of R26 000 . So I want I'm confused if is this how you really work. I cannot pay such an amount online to unknown people while there are so many ****mers out there. And thing that bothered me is that i opted to rather pay the amount when i get there but still they insist that I should pay online. SO CAN SOMEONE PROFESSIONAL CLARIFY AND ASSIST OR REFUND ME SO I COULD GO FIND ANOTHER BETTER DEAL OUT THERE.

Hi mfc auction house, I have been looking to buy a car that I saw via Facebook market which is sold buy your dealership. Then I spoke to one of your consultants, which I was told to send my details and I'll have to secure the availability of the car with R5000 and if I didn't like the car then I'll be refunded. So I wanna know if is this really how you work... do we need to pay a fee just to view any car of your choice...

An african man pretends to be Pieter (Petrus) van der merwe when you phone him to organize viewing of 2nd cars that are for sale in Kempton park. He says he works for MFC auction house dealership which is a lie and shows on Facebook marketplace the 2nd cars he is selling. He even sends you the dekra reports on each car. He then sends you a **** address which is MFC house auction address in Kempton park and tells you to come view and buy cars before auction happens. He says he has 1 month to sell cars before auction. Please stay away, it is a ****.
