Despite management changes, nothing has fundamentally changed. This a death trap only fit for people without any intellectual capacity, insight or will to live. No library, narrow stinking passages, dilapidated shared ablutions, tiny rooms, frail care has a 5-by-5m room for 3 men without any privacy or space for personal possessions, and no support groups for the grieving and disabled. If you do not fit into being sheople and living according to their prejudices, you are lost. No effort will be made to help the slightly different.

Do not send any loved ones to Mothea Haven! My grandparents were unfortunate to be there for a while - they were treated terribly. Management initially came across as friendly but their true colours soon appeared when they started shouting at the families of residents. The neglect of the vulnerable is sad. I am not sure how they have managed to remain open.

My dad, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, stayed in Mothwa Haven for 18 months. To make a long story short, he was neglected, and we as his children, regret that he stayed there for so long. They supposedly have a CCTV system in place, but whenever CCTV footage was requested, they always had some excuse. The manager, Yolandi McMaster is extremely unprofessional. We attended a meeting with other family members of residents, which was arranged with the sole purpose of addressing complaints, and Yolandi literally yelled at us, telling us that we could take our loved ones elsewhere, or look after them ourselves, because we were not happy with the services provided by Mothwa Haven. Please do not consider Mothwa Haven as a safe place for your loved ones, especially those so weak and vulnerable who can no longer defend themselves. The management of Mothwa Haven could not care less about any complaints raised. Thus, they will not even bother to respond to this complaint.

The nurses at Mothwa Haven physically abused my 94 year old gran and stole from her. The home is in a terrible state with cockroaches everywhere and the elevators not working. The stairs are always on lock down and if there was a fire, they would all die. That place is not worth a penny. No elderly person should suffer like that.
