Relatively recently I bought a car from Craig Douglas at Motorport Bayside. It is a great car but shortly after purchasing I had issues with leaking in the cooling system. It has been a journey to get this finally resolved but Craig's attitude throughout has been fantastic. He has been responsive and supportive, given me loan cars during repairs, and has even covered the personal shortfall to an Audi specialist repairer when the warranty didn't cover things 100% I can whole-heartedly recommend Craig and his team at Motorport Bayside when you are next line for a second hand car. He truly is a rare breed that puts customer service at a high priority - not something South Africans are used to :)

I HAVE TRIED TO BOOK MY CAR IN 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS AND JACQUE SAYS HE WILL DIARISE AND CALL ME TO COLLECT THE CAR. FINALLY WE MAKE A SUITABLE TIME FOR HIM AS HE HAS HAD A DRIVER SHORT AND THEN A TECHNICIAN SHORT SO WE FINALLY SETTLE ON TODAY. MY VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COLLECT THIS MORNING AND I JUST RECEIVED A CALL AT 10.30 THAT THE TECHNICIAN IS AWAY UNTIL 10 DECEMBER AND CAN I BOOK IT THEN? THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN DIAPPOINTED IN MOTORPORT. PREVIOUSLY IT TOOK THEM 8 MONTHS TO ATTEND TO MY SMELLY AIRCONDITIONER. THIS IS SO DISAPPOINTING.

I am extremely annoyed with your Motorport Table View branch and must say they are giving VOLKSWAGEN brand an extremely bad name... I purchased a Volkswagen Polo TSI Hi-Line DEMO and must say that the service department is the most unhelpful bunch of salary takers I have needed to deal with
1. Selling chipped and scratched vehicles to clients with the service department okaying that all is fine to them upon delivery
2. Fixing a damaged right rear window that takes more than 1 month to fix, but selling it faulty
3. Still waiting on the sunroof after 4 months to get fixed
4. And then having my spare wheel stolen out of my vehicle while in for repairs at the same branch
5. If this is the type of vehicles and services Motorport Table View and VOLKSWAGEN promise then maybe they should reconsider their place in the market and not wonder why Hyundai is overtaking them in sales and have an exceptional service department...
I will never use Motorport Table View for anything else in my life again nor will my car ever be service there! And urge anybody who consider to buy anything from them to be sure they are in for a world of issues...

Don't ever buy a vehicle from Motorport table view, purchased a second hand Amarock 48000 on the clock with remainder of warranty in place, constant complaint about issues ,Motorport had to recall the vehicle due to factory fault issues on the fuel line and air vents
I reported my clutch slipping and a loose fan belt Motorport replaced the clutch and requested I replace a pulley on my next service Motorport would order a new pulley in the interim I returned the vehicle twice complaining about the clutch only to be sent away with a explanation oil was the cause of the smell on the clutch, when returning for my 90000 service I was told the vehicle is out of warranty the cost will be R20000.00 to repair. Motorport pushed the repairs out until the warranty expired bad business practise I had to get my vehicle towed after two weeks in their workshop, being shoved from pillar to post .
Eventually I had to take it to a expert clutch mechanic who charged R13000.00 the pulley is still a problem.
The first replaced clutch by Motorport last eleven months.

I have booked my car in last week Tuesday for repairs. They advised that it was my distributor that was faulty, after replacement on Thursday, they advised that there is a wiring fault on the car as well.
Since then they have been full of excuses why the car have not yet been repaired, such as it takes a long time to figure out the cause of the problem, someone has tampered with with wiring(with duck tape), the distributor can go when jump starting a car, also a pirated distributor was installed in my car as VW does not make original parts for 2009 VW Mk1 anymore...WHAT????
Their auto electrician only started working on the car today (Monday) due to being on sick leave, what place only has one auto electrician?
The manager said its not his fault that my car is in for repairs, after I asked him why don't they even offer me a courtesy car.
I am really disappointed in the lack of service and workmanship from Motorport Tableview, but then again had problems with them from day one...but hoped this time would be different seeing as they are agents of Volkswagen but clearly do not know how to repair a VW Mk1.
