Mr Halfton- a thief.
I had engaged with this company to transport furniture from Johannesburg to Durban. After insisting on a full payment upfront, the owner continuously moved the date on which the furniture was to be transported. Eventually he after several extensions of the date, he started proposing alternative means to transport the furniture. I then asked for a refund. I even requested two attorneys to contact him. He initially undertook to repay the money, however no payment has ever being forthcoming. This was almost 5 months ago. He is a thief and a scoundrel and I would not recommend that anyone use him.

Stole My Money
I requested a removal from Durban to Johannesburg when my dad had retired and was moving to Johannesburg. I booked and paid the deposit over 1 month before the time to co-incide with my holidays. I was hounded by Dushkin to settle up the 50% remaining before he had even collected the boxes and furniture. Eventually the items were collected but the items were not delivered on the due date, and there was no communication with me. i eventually made contact with Dushkin after repeatedly contacting him. I begged him to please allow me to get another company to collect the items as they were all my dad's precious items. I asked him for a refund. I was able to collect the items but have never had my money repaid. Mr Halfton stole R3500 from me.

Thieves!!!!!
<p>I have never been so disappointed in a company as i have in #MRHALFTONREMOVALS! The owner Dushkin Sankar is a thief, he has disappeared with my money that i paid him and is not returning my calls. He came on Friday to move my belongings from a house i was renting and in the process he managed to knock over the pillar that was holding the gate up, the gate is now broken. He refuses to take responsibility for this and answer his phone and come and fix what he damaged. Due to this i am being refused my deposit. This is truly not fair. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone moving. They are liars and thieves!</p>

<p>I have never been so disappointed in a company as i have in #MRHALFTONREMOVALS! The owner Dushkin Sankar is a thief, he has disappeared with my money that i paid him and is not returning my calls. Pathethic service from Mr Halfton removals - Dushkin Sankar
<p>Once again, I am being ignored by Dushkin from Mr Halfton removals. When he wanted me to pay for delivery, he was extremely responsive to emails and even called me numerous time. He then took over a week to transport my goods from Dbn to Jhb. Even then, he did not deliver at the committed time. He promised to redeem his reputation by providing me with a delivery within JHB at no cost. I now requested the and after making arrangement for a move, he now ignores me completely. His customer service is shocking. This kind of service is pathetic from Mr Halfton removals and not the first time I have experienced it.</p>

Above and beyond
<p>I've used Mr Half Ton a couple of times now and both times they were superb. The first time was to remove construction waste left over from tiling and the second time was when I moved house. When I moved they were cheaper than the other quotes I got and when we weren't quite finished packing they packed the last few bits without charge. Quick and efficient and nothing was missing or broken. Really good value for money.</p>

Terrible service
Dushkin quoted me for moving my household goods from Durban to Joburg (I was relocating to Joburg). Paid him the full amount upfront. Emailed him a week before the pickup date but no response. Eventually told me that he could not pick up the goods on the date that was originally agreed upon (24/3/2016). Sent a driver over on Saturday (26/03/2016) @ 11:30am (driver was supposed to arrive at 9am). Driver was either drunk or high! Goods collected and packed by the assistant and I was assured that the goods will be delivered by 10pm that evening. While I was driving to Joburg with my wife and child, Dushkin called me to say that the driver was arrested for drunk driving and that he could only deliver the goods the next day @ 9am (Sunday 27/03/2016). I had no choice but to agree to this! Suffice to say Duskin lied about this as well. My household goods only arrived on Sunday @ 3:30pm. Confronted Duskin about the huge delays on the day of delivery and all he did was apologise for the late delivery. DO NOT USE THIS REMOVAL SERVICE! Duskin is not a man of his word and will let you down completely!!!! Utterly disgusted and shocked at the type of service received.

Terrible service
Dushkin quoted me for moving my household goods from Durban to Joburg (I was relocating to Joburg). Paid him the full amount upfront. Emailed him a week before the pickup date but no response. Late in December 2015, I contacted Dashkin (owner) to move 2 pieces of furniture, one of which was a new lounge suite we had purchased for my in laws in Durban. Not only did he collect the furniture 3 days later than promised, he also tried to dispute the quote he had given in writing. He also lied about having insurance in case of damages to my furniture while in transit. He took the furniture and promised to house it in a secure \warehouse"he said he owned. I later found out that he lied about this as well. He did not deliver the items on time in Durban from JHB and at one stage I was afraid he had disappeared with my goods as he was not responding to my queries. Suffice it to say he delivered the items when he \""was ready\"" in Durban. To our shock and horror the lounge suite was water drenched and badly soiled. He dropped off the stuff and disappeared"

BAD SERVICE / DO NOT WANT TO REFUND
I moved from jhb to dbn, Dushkin the owner made so many promises and didn't keep any of them. Delivery was 3 days late ! Thank goodness I had a place to stay in the meantime with my kids. He sent a truck that was not roadworthied , the disk expired in 2010 and were stopped by the cops and almost got impounded im not sure how they got out of that. My stuff had been damaged. I paid 80% deposit and he only delivered half of my stuff and never sent the second half and further refuses to refund part of the money. Absolutely appalling service. I don't know how he sleeps at night knowing that he put my kids and myself in such a bad position.
