I am deeply disappointed with the service I received from an agent named Jabulani. He was incredibly argumentative throughout our conversation. When I requested to escalate the matter, he flatly refused to let me speak to a manager and refused to call me back. This level of unhelpfulness and disrespect is completely unacceptable.

Hello Peter, I’m currently using Netstar as my tracking company. I bought my car last year with its previous registration number, and later changed it to a new registration number. I updated the new registration details on my Netstar app in early January. However, this month the system reverted back to the old registration number. When I contacted them, they told me there was a duplicate registration number and that someone else apparently has the same registration number as mine. I don’t understand how they allowed another person to register the same number as my vehicle. They promised to resolve the issue within 24 hours, but it has now been a week and the problem is still not fixed.

Your email dated Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 3:45 PM refers. I note the contents thereof with serious concern. Kindly explain why I am expected to pay a call-out fee and replacement cost for a tag which was issued by Netstar in March 2025 and which is evidently faulty. Please further provide an exact count of how many SMS notifications I have received from March 2025 to date stating: “Netstar received an alarm for Reg MF93DPGP.” The number of notifications received is excessive and clearly indicative of a defective accessory supp**** by Netstar. It is completely unacceptable that Netstar issues a faulty accessory and thereafter attempts to hold the customer financially liable for Netstar’s own defective equipment. I reject this entirely. The level of service received from Netstar falls far below acceptable standards and is highly disappointing. As your response, Boitumelo Mogale, is not satisfactory, kindly escalate this matter to the relevant authority or senior management for urgent intervention and resolution. I await urgent positive feedback and confirmation that this matter will be resolved without any costs being imposed on me.

Terrible experience!! I'm a new customer of 5 months. I provided them with my banking information and established a debit order, believing they were a reliable company that would withdraw the owed amount from my account punctually. This also offers customers considerable convenience, which is the primary reason I accept any debit order. They never debited, not even once. I called to inquire about the situation, and they even had my debit order date incorrect, which I asked them to correct. At this point, they're sending me text messages claiming they are turning my name over to their attorneys due to non-payment, which I cannot understand since they were supposed to withdraw the money from my account, which is hardly a large sum. Yet, they failed. Every month. Today, on 26/05, I called again to find out what was happening because I never receive a message saying they have debited, and they inform me the account has been handed over. I trusted them to manage the debit order efficiently since they are a large company and you would think they know how to do that by now, but they're telling me I reversed the amount of R300 and some change on 13 March after I called and argued with them to get their act together and stop sending me those texts. I told them I want to cancel my membership with them because I can't trust them to keep my car covered, and they want me to pay R2300 for the cancellation! Nonsense!! I want Netstar to resolve this as it stems from their own incompetence, and they have undoubtedly lost a customer. I am willing to take all necessary steps to ensure they correct this because you will not tarnish my name or a mere R180.

I am extremely disappointed with Netstar and the level of service I received during a recent vehicle theft incident. My vehicle was ****** on 24 May, and despite being a fully registered customer, I was not contacted even once during the entire incident. There were no alerts, no phone calls, no warnings, and no proactive communication to inform me that anything unusual was happening with the vehicle. In a situation where every minute matters, this complete lack of response was very concerning. I had to take the initiative myself to try and get information, but even then the communication was not helpful in real time. There was no immediate support or urgency shown while the situation was unfolding. In contrast, the vehicle was ultimately recovered through the assistance of Cartrack, who responded quickly and handled the recovery professionally. This experience has made it very clear that Netstar did not provide the level of service expected from a vehicle tracking company, especially in an emergency situation. Due to this failure in communication and response, I will be terminating my contract. Very disappointing and unacceptable service overall.

It is extremnely annoying to haver to expalin the sistuation to the call centre every time this happens. The Netstar "technicans" came out twice to fix the issue but both attempts were unsuccesful. The problem persisted and every time I got a call from the call centre I informed them of the false panic and that someone needs to come and try to fix it a third time. This never happened until this week when Netstar finally made contact again to tell me that my device is now out of warranty and it will now cost me in excess of R700 to fix the problem. This is laughable so I will be cancelling my services and moving over to another service provider.
