Great Vibe
Excellent spot with a good vibe and great spot if you want fresh air and mix of good music. I see they've made some renovations. Their waiters are quite busy, but shouldn't be too busy to serve clients.

We ordered 6 Lamachina shots: 2 pineapple, 2 coconut, 1 g****fruit, and 1 watermelon
We ordered 6 Lamachina shots: 2 pineapple, 2 coconut, 1 g****fruit, and 1 watermelon. The shots tasted like juice better yet diluted by water. Three returned back as there is no alcohol content. The manager for the night Mike was rude and arrogant to even apologize or taste what was sent back. He also insisted we pay for the juice we have drank. Super disappointing and I do not see myself going back there.

Male waitresses ***** from clients
On saturday passed midnight i was with a friend and put my bag that had my phone in it while i was waeting i pushed my bag aside my phone was pickpocketed by one of the male waitress who was serving us because the phone went missing just after i finished eating and checked my bag.

Food
We received a warm welcome from Absa the waitor and he gave us a wonderful service ,he was very friendly and good Aura,But the food wasn't that amazing ..our meat wasn't well done ,and it's like it was abit off but we chose to not be a problem because it was late already ..but now my husband and l are not well we have been sick since,we started being sick from 5am of Tuesday morning ,until day we still not well ..the situation is really bad ..,please guys cook your food proper and also check is the food you serve is very fresh

News café security guy
The food, the vibe, and the lady who was serving us was great.... however one of the security/bouncer guy brought someone at my table and disrespected me. I came with a friend and while she was at the ladies room this bouncer brought someone without asking if the sit was taken or not , when I confronted him and told him that there was someone he started yelling at me, and I told him I'm also a customer here drinking with my friend, then he said "you are not nothing". I wasn't in the mood of fighting back I kept quiet. But I pray that karma hit him back for being rude and disrespectful to me. Everyone is a customer and should be treated with respect. Not as if we go there and drink for free or for some stupid bouncer to disrespect us. I hope he will meet the person who will slap him back one day.

Rude arrogant Manager and unprofessional waitress at NEWS CAFE ROSEBANK!!
On the 17th of March 2023, we went to News Café in Rosebank with a colleague to grab some drinks after work, a regular routine that we are used to occasionally. We paid the first order coz we thought we are leaving, but we didn`t so we ordered two more drinks. She brought the drinks to the table, at that time i had went to the Atm to withdraw some cash because the Card was not working, so my colleague was left at the table. When the waitress brought the drinks to the table, we had two more beers left in the ice bucket. She mixed up the new with the old and wanted to charge us. The waitress got our orders mixed up and wanted to charge us for the drinks that we had already paid for on the first round. It caused issues, she called the manager, and we went to the computer to see the order but the whole thing was weird. THE OUTCOME: The manager sided with the waiter, took our ice bucket with beers that we paid for aggressively from the table and went to package the beers, brought them back and kicked us out; told us never to return to News Cafe ever again. WE HAVE A VIDEO/PROOF OF THIS!! I attached Screenshots of that Video because i couldn`t load the Video. Apparently, this guy is not just the manager but is also a partner in the business (Not Confirmed) that is why he was rude and arrogant towards us as customers and can get away with this kind of behavior. This manager is very unprofessional and does not hold his staff accountable. He supports all the bull**** the staff do. The waitresses/waiters will continue to portray this kind of behavior knowing very well that their direct manager support their unprofessional behaviors.

Poor Customer Service
Poor customer service: On Womens Day I was unfortunate to have come across Famida, a very rude, unfriendly, unhelpful waiter who blatantly refused to assist us because we moved tables, she also refused to call someone who can assist. We had to flag a manager to explain what happened and he allocated a new waiter, she is the reason why this place was a very unpleasant experience and would not recommend.

I loved it.
Very clean. Waiter was great. Good food as well. Good Place to chill or dinner maybe Breakfast in the morning. The burgers were surprisingly good. However, I would recommend going here to have a good time and drinks, not necessarily a dinner out type of place
