I had a horrible experience at this restaurant yesterday. They do not even deserve the 1 star which I have given them. It was my birthday and they spoiled the entire event. My daughter, who lives in Potchefstroom, made special arrangements with Jade, the Manager. Flowers were pre-delivered to the restaurant and was supposed to be given to me as a surprise (all arranged by my daughter). I arrived there and they refused to give me a table outside. Two tables were open. It is a non reserve area, so nobody could reserve them. I asked if I may sit close to a window then (on the inside of the restaurant). There were at least 4 tables open. Their reply: "no, they are reserved". But NO reservation signs!! At the end of this ordeal, they propped me into a corner at two tables which were moved together. Not prepared with cutlery, etc. And the Manager, Jade then later said to me that this table was reserved for me. All a lie. This was supposed to be a special dinner for me on my birthday. My daughter made so many phone calls to arrange everything perfectly. And they FAILED us HORRIBLY. On the rocks was one of my most favourite restaurants in the past, but after today, I will never support them again. Terrible service.I will not recommend this restaurant to anybody.

If I could give you zero stars, I would..... I took my wife of 30 years to your restaurant on the 21st of January. It was her birthday and we just wanted a nice quiet evening out. It started off "not too bad", waiting nearly 5 minutes for our waiter to arrive at the table. How we wish he didn't show up. He smelled of alcohol and you could see his attitude wasn't very friendly. But this is not the worst part of it. After some time, another sever joined him at a different table while he was cleaning up there and we very, very clearly heard him say "I wish these ****ing white people would just go home". WHAT???? SERIOUSLY??? My wife begged me not to say anything as I am quite known back home for making quite the scene. We also didn't stay for dessert as we no longer felt welcome. The food was also very mediocre. Luke warm steaks. So instead of making a scene there, I thought I'd come on this platform so the whole world can see, and not just the people in the restaurant. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. ****** Racists!!!!
