On Saturday the 22 November 2025 I bought a defective solar flood light from On stop china hyper. Three days after installing the light still the light was not working. I retuned the light for an exchange only to be told by the store manager (a Chinese couple) that I am not allowed to exchange the light let alone get a refund. I provided them with the proof purchase which they were not interested in. Furthermore their store workers confirmed to remember me and that they me sold the light on the day. Still the store manager told me they will not help me with either a refund or exchange. They refuse to look at their camera for proof and said they don’t care. This store is the worst. The customer service is very very poor. I will never return and don’t recommend buying here as they sell non working products without option for return. Worst service as customer

Bad customer service... On Saturday 03 June 2023, my wife purchased 2 differently coloured but otherwise identical items @ R139.99 each that were "classified" as underwear from the One Stop China Hyper store, Northview Shopping Centre. In total she spent R528,37 in the store. Being unable to try the items on in store she paid for them and took them home along with the other goods she bought. She took one pair out of its box and tried them on. She immediately realised they were too big and were falling down. Because we are aware of the fact that most stores will not refund or exchange if underwear has been worn, she decided to keep that pair but asked me to return the other pair today, Monday 05 June 2023. The item was still in its original, unopened box and I was hoping for a refund or an exchange. I was told by a member of their staff that she would have to call the manageress for assistance. She then pointed at a clause at the bottom of the receipt stating that underwear cannot be returned. This is what we had suspected and that is why my wife only returned the item in the unopened box. However, the Chinese lady who I presume was the manageress came over the talk to me and I explained the story clearly but she was having none of it and refused to believe that my wife hadn't worn the underwear. She refused to either exchange or refund on the item and more or less accused me of lying. Whilst standing there I phoned my wife who was busy at work but I insisted that she speak to the manager and put her case forward. Unfortunately, the manageress wouldn't change her mind. I even wanted to buy two more items that would have resulted in the store making more money out of me. What annoyed me the most was the manageress was smirking at me in a condescending manner. She seemed to think my being upset was amusing. To conclude, I would advise people not buy anything from the One Stop China Hyper store simply because of their returns policy and bad attitude towards customers.

I went to a Chinese shop with my daughter, bought few things and after that we went to the salon in he same shopping complex. I then realised that i forgot to buy something else, and decided to send my daughter back in the same Chinese shop. She came back asking for the slip bercaise the Chinese lady searched her bag and found a product in her bag that she could not produce a slip of it. I then went with her to produce the slip and when i presented the slip to the Chinese lady, she refused and said she is still checking on the camera. I felt very embarrassed and disrespected in front of the of other customers. My child also felt traumatised with the situation. I had to grab the product from the counter and left the shop to go and attend to my other child at the salon. In about 10 minutes the securities of the complex followed me and demanded that i should bring the slip and the product back to that shop. That on its own made me very furious and i told them, i cant go back agaIn to that shop and if they want the slip, they are free to take a picture and the product and go back to show the lady. I told them i went to show the slip and she told me she is till checking on the camera. They also couldn't believe how can she tell them that i was caught in a camera *****ing. Of which she **** as i have paid and also produced the slip. I feel my human rights have been violated and not treated as a client but a ***** when i am not.
