The FNB secure chat facility is useless. Untrained, unqualified, uneducated people who cannot understand what you are asking them at the other end of the line. The usual story I've become so fami**** with these days, especially in this country. It's simply a waste of time attempting to use this service so don't bother!
Bad customer service... On Saturday 03 June 2023, my wife purchased 2 differently coloured but otherwise identical items @ R139.99 each that were "classified" as underwear from the One Stop China Hyper store, Northview Shopping Centre. In total she spent R528,37 in the store. Being unable to try the items on in store she paid for them and took them home along with the other goods she bought. She took one pair out of its box and tried them on. She immediately realised they were too big and were falling down. Because we are aware of the fact that most stores will not refund or exchange if underwear has been worn, she decided to keep that pair but asked me to return the other pair today, Monday 05 June 2023. The item was still in its original, unopened box and I was hoping for a refund or an exchange. I was told by a member of their staff that she would have to call the manageress for assistance. She then pointed at a clause at the bottom of the receipt stating that underwear cannot be returned. This is what we had suspected and that is why my wife only returned the item in the unopened box. However, the Chinese lady who I presume was the manageress came over the talk to me and I explained the story clearly but she was having none of it and refused to believe that my wife hadn't worn the underwear. She refused to either exchange or refund on the item and more or less accused me of lying. Whilst standing there I phoned my wife who was busy at work but I insisted that she speak to the manager and put her case forward. Unfortunately, the manageress wouldn't change her mind. I even wanted to buy two more items that would have resulted in the store making more money out of me. What annoyed me the most was the manageress was smirking at me in a condescending manner. She seemed to think my being upset was amusing. To conclude, I would advise people not buy anything from the One Stop China Hyper store simply because of their returns policy and bad attitude towards customers.
If you want to experience what it's like to spend an hour in the Amazon Rain Forest in the height of summer look no further than Planet Fitness Gym, Fourways. As the staff sit downstairs at their fully air-conditioned work stations, the gym situated upstairs directly under a corrugated, uninsulated steel roof is heated by the sun to a temp of between 35C and 45C with a humidity of 100%. As soon as you get to the top of the stairs and enter the gym area a wall of dense, humid hot air hits your face which is difficult to extract oxygen from leaving you fatigued and saturated before you even begin your workout. It appears that even the maintenance staff are afraid to enter as suggested by the numerous Out Of Order signs on equipment that has been standing idle for weeks, including a desperately needed water drinking fountain machine. Losing weight is easy as all of the equipment is covered in the sweat of the previous user which is a sure breeding ground for bacteria, the type that upsets ones stomach causing diarrhea, something I seem to get within 24hors of each workout. So far, since joining the Amazon experience sauna gym in November 2022 I've lost 10kgs. However, I am trying to gain size and weight, not lose it! Please comment if you have had a similar experience to mine. Ps The sales team lie. They promised a membership fee of R348 a month but tried to take R900 from my wife's account! Make sure you get a copy of what you signed.

I thought I'd do a nice thing and surprise my wife by buying her a new pair of shoes. I was in Cresta shopping centre, Blackheath, Randburg and spotted what I thought were the perfect pair in SOLE CANDY store window. I quickly bought them and left. My wife got home later and loved them but they were so high she said she'd struggle to walk in them as unbeknown to me she'd had an operation on the ball of her foot.

We took them back to exchange them but all their shoes had 5 to 6 inch heals and she simply couldn't stand the pressure on her foot from the steep angle of the shoes. So we asked for a refund. After being refused one by the staff, we insisted on speaking to the manager. They put him on the phone and we explained the problem. He point blank refused a refund which we thought was very unreasonable considering the circumstances. He rang his area manager but he also refused a refund.

We settled for a credit note and headed for one of their other stores in Mall Of Africa, Midrand. Luckily they had one pair of shoes with a 4 inch heal which were perfect. We confidently handed over the credit note expecting no problems. However, 20 minutes later we were still standing there having been asked all sorts of questions, as if we were criminals. I asked what the problem was and was told the computers were down. I said well we have the machine printed credit note from only two hours ago, give us the shoes and let us go on our way as times is precious on a weekend.

We decided to leave the store and come back later. 25 mins later we went back and on the phone the girl went yet again and we stood watching her hanging on awaiting an answer.

After yet another 15 mins we finally left the store after being made to feel like criminals who'd stolen the credit note. We had to give personal details such as name, phone number, email address...all of which were unnecessasry as I'd paid cash.

To sum up, I will never buy from a store like that again and I suggest you think twice to before parting with your hard earned cash!

I was recommended to AJ Autobody after 2 other repair shops wanted to not only charge me way too much but keep my car for over 3 weeks!

I had been hit from behind and my bumper was pushed in and the strenghthening bar bent.

I went to see Rufus, the owner who is an absolute gentleman. As I wasn't claiming on my insurance I wanted a cash price which he gave me and it was over R1000 cheaper than the two other insurance recommended repair shops I'd been to. Not only that but he promised the repair would be done in less than 2 days!

I dropped my car off on Wed morning at 8:30am and on Thurs at 10am he said it was done but they were busy polishing it for me. I got there at 5pm on Thurs and it was all done and looked fantastic. He charged me the agreed price and not a cent more.

I would highly recommend AJ Autobody for the above reasons. Rufus is a great guy and makes you feel extremely valued as a customer. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his work is superior.

If you have car insurance with King Price and get hit from behind by an uninsured driver, don't expect King Price to lift a finger to help you.

That's what happened to me. Even though I pay extra for legal assistance they have done nothing at all to assist!

I was sitting at a robot waiting for the light to change when a lunatic driver slammed into the back of me. He was uninsured but I thought never mind, King Price will assist me and get the money from him, but no, they didn't even bother to write one single email to him. I am now left having to pay for the damage myself as it's around the same as my excess and as a result King Price are refusing to help me.

Thanks for othing KING PRICE!!!!!!!!

This is a warning about purchasing items using cash at a Palladium Boots store.

If you pay by cash at a Palladium Boot store, don't expect to get a refund in a hurry, or indeed without an awful lot of hassle. Unless you are prepared for a lot of leg work and arguing for your rights, you'll never see your cash again!

We had to wait 12 days to get my R1499 back as they kept giving various excuses from the manager wasn't authorised to give refunds to we haven't had any sales in the last 3 days so can't refund your cash.

Then we had to wait 12 days for the head office to do an EFT.

We'd been to the store 3 times and also to the Rosebank store chasing my refund.

You have been warned people!
After buying two cars six months ago from Monte Carlo Autos in Sandton, Gauteng, I just felt obliged to give some positive feedback to both Manni and Chris, the owners.

Yes, I had a few problems with one of the cars, as can be expected with a used car. However, I have never experienced such excellent customer service and it made the whole experience stress free. I didn't suffer the usual sleepless nights that one has after parting with a lot of cash, then discovering problems.

There is no way Manni or Chris could have been aware of the faults so no blame can be attached to them but the way in which they were dealt with was most impressive. Each time a loan car was supplied whilst my car was fixed.

The car in question is now perfect thanks to them.

I felt like I gained two new friends in the process and that's why I would like to confidently recommend MONTE CARLO AUTOS to anyone looking to buy a used car.
