My daughter bought a handbag at Sole Candy but returned it because there were pen marks on it. On returning it she was told that they don't do cash refunds only vouchers. They did not have another one of the same bag and nothing else that she liked. Nowhere in the store is their refund policy displayed, only on the sales slip. Obviously when you read it on the slip it's too late. I went back to the store wanting to speak to the manager, who wasn't there. The one sales lady was incredibly rude and kept putting the music louder while I was trying to speak. I eventually spoke to the manager on the phone who also refused to give my daughter her money back. According to the CPA the giving of vouchers is not illegal BUT if the customer wants their money back the store cannot refuse. The voucher is only valid for 6 months so if my daughter does not find anything else in the store that she likes, she loses her money. This is totally unacceptable and I insist that the store refund her in cash. Somebody needs to do something about their unfair refund policy.

Hi. I would like to log a complaint and I will also be logging one on Hellopeter as well. I went to the Sole Candy store at Cresta Mall earlier today. There were 2 ladies working in the store...one black lady and one coloured lady. I asked the black lady if there was anything new which recently came in. In a sarcastic, tone with a smirk on her face, she responded by asking me: "uhm, do you come to this store often or when last have you been to this store?". Trying to make me look like an idiot of course. The coloured lady immediately offered me assistance and showed me the lastest shoes which came in and was extremely helpful as well as friendly. I even purchased a pair of shoes thanks to the service I received from her. She deserved the sale. As for the other rude staff member (who was even so rude to her colleague, the coloured lady), she clearly doesn't realize that it's the same customers who she is so rude to who pay her salary, and that's a fact. It would be advisable to send her for customer service training. I will not support the store at Cresta because of her.

I purchased a pair of shoes from sole candy on Sunday 05 March 2017 for a my work event which was a highly professional photo shoot for our Global Website, our Swiss Director was flying in especially for the photo shoot. Whist I was walking to the photographer my brand new shoes that I had worn for the first time that morning broke at the back of the shoe and heel came totally apart. I could not continue to wear the shoes (the photo shoot was at 9:00am on Thursday 9th May 2017.)

I went back to the store, Sole Candy on the Saturday 11 March 2017 with the original box, original slips and original store plastic packet. (i retruned the shoes with in 6 days of purchase) I did not wish to exchange the shoes as my trust was broken in the product, AND I didn’t like anything else that the store Sole Candy had on their shelves for sale. ALSO, I did not want to experience another embarrassing experience in front my Executive Managers and Directors which I was meeting later that week wearing this product.

I was told I cannot get my money back, only an in store credit note. I did dispute this and I was told by the Sole Candy’s extremely unfriendly and rude staff working that morning, they will not give me my money back. I was told to come back in 1 weeks’ time as their new stock was coming in. I then left, feeling completing annoyed, no customer experience and no Treating Customers Fairly displayed by the Sole Candy staff.

Over the next on going weeks that followed, I have been going in to the store to see when the new stock is coming in, I have to tell I did not notice anything NEW but the same stock as at the time of my original purchase. By now, I am extremely annoyed, I went in yet again on Saturday the 8th of April 2017. Again, I didn’t see new stock in fact there seemed to be less stock now available for purchase, Again I didn’t see anything that I wanted. I asked for my money back (it is more than SIX WEEKS LATER and I am STILL an UNHAPPY CUSTOMER,) and the same rude staff that works for Sole Candy was working the on the Saturday, Sole Candy’s unfriendly staff said no, I must wait for the new WINTER stock! I cannot get my money back, By now I am unhappy and completely annoyed with how unfairly I have been treated from the beginning of this ordeal. I pressed the issue after much debating, with a sigh the store assist for Sole Candy picked up the phone and called (a Juan, apparently the manager) who while rolling her eyes told him that I want my money back he said to her, tell her NO!! She must wait for the winter stock.I heard his response as I was in clear ear shot of their telephone conversation. Also, the store assistant confirmed to me what this Juan had said. .The store assistant also refused to give me his contact number, eventually after complaining she gave me his number. I tried to call Juan, he doesn’t answer his phone, or return messages which my friend has also left for him.

I asked the Sole Candy store staff for website details, contact numbers and emails addresses so that I log a compliant and take this further for assistance and she said to me we have no details and said to me try find us on Instagram”.

I am disgusted, and highly annoyed with SOLE CANDY and their staff, my Family and I will never purchase a single item from them ever again!!, My experience with SOLE CANDY will be shared at many braai’s and functions to come.

SHAME ON YOU SOLE CANDY!! I urge you to familiarise yourself with how to treat customers fairly, after all as buying and paying customers we assist you by keeping your doors open for business..

Asking me who is going to buy the shoe now that I am cancelling the lay-bye .where there was plenty more of stock in store .So the shoe never went out of the store what happend to consumer right .So one must now be giving money away , where tommorrow some one els is going to purchase the same shoe .where I now am being ripped off .
I thought I'd do a nice thing and surprise my wife by buying her a new pair of shoes. I was in Cresta shopping centre, Blackheath, Randburg and spotted what I thought were the perfect pair in SOLE CANDY store window. I quickly bought them and left. My wife got home later and loved them but they were so high she said she'd struggle to walk in them as unbeknown to me she'd had an operation on the ball of her foot.

We took them back to exchange them but all their shoes had 5 to 6 inch heals and she simply couldn't stand the pressure on her foot from the steep angle of the shoes. So we asked for a refund. After being refused one by the staff, we insisted on speaking to the manager. They put him on the phone and we explained the problem. He point blank refused a refund which we thought was very unreasonable considering the circumstances. He rang his area manager but he also refused a refund.

We settled for a credit note and headed for one of their other stores in Mall Of Africa, Midrand. Luckily they had one pair of shoes with a 4 inch heal which were perfect. We confidently handed over the credit note expecting no problems. However, 20 minutes later we were still standing there having been asked all sorts of questions, as if we were criminals. I asked what the problem was and was told the computers were down. I said well we have the machine printed credit note from only two hours ago, give us the shoes and let us go on our way as times is precious on a weekend.

We decided to leave the store and come back later. 25 mins later we went back and on the phone the girl went yet again and we stood watching her hanging on awaiting an answer.

After yet another 15 mins we finally left the store after being made to feel like criminals who'd stolen the credit note. We had to give personal details such as name, phone number, email address...all of which were unnecessasry as I'd paid cash.

To sum up, I will never buy from a store like that again and I suggest you think twice to before parting with your hard earned cash!
