Useless. Do NOT use. Their documentation advises that items will be collected 5 days before delivery. I requested delivery on 1 July yet my goods were collected on 19 June. Had to rush to get everything sorted for delivery from CPT to JHB. They insist on the full fee upfront of R5000, which we dispute and counter with R2500, and finally settle on R3000. Already sounds dodgy. The website claims that they pride themselves on communication, yet only when we called to establish to status of the delivery on 30 June were we advised that it was delayed to 2 July. Apparently things in Darling couldn't be collected and the truck had to go back. How was that my problem? Expecting delivery on 2 July, I took two days of leave to receive and unpack. Only to get a call explaining that the truck broke down. Again, why is that my problem? Delivery is now promised for 3 July between 13:00 and 14:00. 3 July, window for delivery comes and goes. Truck arrives at 14:30 without the bakkie we paid extra for because such a big truck would not be allowed in the complex. The staff on the truck are completely unaware of the arrangements. I call Quinton, who says that he only just arranged one because he didn't know what time the truck would be ready. Don't they liaise between themselves? I express my frustration to Quinton who literally says to me "what must I do?". He then arranged for someone to come from PTA to JHB, so add on another hour of waiting. Even though we paid an additional R1600 to hire this bakkie, I get a guy with a volvo and a trailer. Steer clear of this useless company. You're bound to be disappointed.

We moved from Jhb to Paarl at the end of January 2020 and Optimum did the move for us. We did our own packing but the actual move was entirely handled by Optimum. Not only were they one of the best priced companies, but did a sterling job. Both the pick up and delivery (we had to make use of a shuttle at the delivery end) went extremely well. They wrapped just about everything with protective cladding and the workers were diligent and hard working, yet always happy. They were always on time - in fact mostly a little earlier than promised. I can happily recommend Optimum Removals. Thanks for a job well done!

Definitely the best. Called Quintin for a quote to move our house. He immediately jumped on it and gave me a price in our budget range. When the truck came they even wrapped our couches without asking them to do it. I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone who wants to move with an honest company. Always willing to help.

Martin was really helpful and accommodating when we moved from JHB to CPT. He was extremely patient, explaining all the nuances with the different insurance types and our back and forth for moths prior to the move. The majority of the moving staff were really pleasant and courteous (there was one guy who was quite rude, but you can't be all things to everyone all the time). On the day of delivery, they called us from the truck to say they were about an hour away from the house, but ended up taking nearly 4 more hours to get there, which impacted our planning (we had some stuff we had to get from the shops that day and because we had to wait for the truck for 4 hours, we ended up only getting to the shops after they'd offloaded, which wasted most of the day). It would be helpful if there was a way customers could access the tracking app to see exactly where their stuff is in transit and could plan accordingly. Overall though, really great service. I would (and have) recommend(ed) them to friends.

Stay very far away! Had a signed verbal and contractual agreement to transport my goods from JHB to CPT. Company decided last minute to break agreement and bring goods down 2 days late, had none of my belongings to stay in new residence. Movers also unwrapped my thorough heavy duty plastic wrapping and damaged some expensive furniture items.
