USELESS SERVICE
Worst service ever, and they never finished the job. Gert was making promises and never delivered on any. Had to get someone else to fix the roof. Orbit kept my money, and never heard from them again. BE WARNED. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!!

Terrible service, left roof with multiple holes. Never return.
They came to reseal and paint my asbestos roof. Sent me side photos of the work that looked good. started raining, with large leaks now in the roof. Send someone else to have a look. Massive gaps in the roof, open wooden beams where you can see paint fell when they were busy. Just left it like that. Gutters were full of moss, never cleaned by them. They refuse to return to my premises.

Gert and his team at Orbit Roofing is the ONLY company that will ever work on my roof again. They have SOLID knowledge and are always willing to help and go the extra mile. They have done on two different occasions sterling jobs. I will highly recommend them for any roof related issues and maintenance!!

Gert and his team at Orbit Roofing is the ONLY company that will ever work on my roof again. They have SOLID knowledge and are always willing to help and go the extra mile. They have done on two different occasions sterling jobs. I will highly recommend them for any roof related issues and maintenance!!

I have made use of Orbit Roofing for more than a decade
I have made use of Orbit Roofing for more than a decade. Their service has always been very professional and of a high standard. Many times I had some major issues with my roof and they really did an excellent job at repairing it. Once I was even out of town with my family and they were so amazing at helping us. When you are on holiday and trying to relax, an emergency with a leaking roof in rainy season in Cape Town, can really derail a holiday. A big thank you to Gert, Carin and their extremely capable staff

I have made use of Orbit Roofing for more than a decade
I have made use of Orbit Roofing for more than a decade. Their service has always been very professional and of a high standard. Many times I had some major issues with my roof and they really did an excellent job at repairing it. Once I was even out of town with my family and they were so amazing at helping us. We continuously work with Orbit Roofing and are very pleased with their integrity and professionalism. I’ve had a few bad experiences with contractors who have taken my money and never came back. Orbit Roofing is trustworthy and ensure that the job gets completed.

Poor workmanship and even worse service
Avoid using Orbit unless you are happy with unprofessional, poor service Orbit came to repaint our roof in October 2020. After a few months the paint started bubbling and eventually starting peeling off. We tried to get Orbit back on various occasions to come inspect the work as it is still under guarantee. It took numerous calls and eventually a lawyers letter to get them on site. On the 14 Dec 2021 (14months later) Gert (the owner) sent a new “site manager” in to meet the representative of Plascon. The rep got on the roof to take a sample of the paint and could see immediately that the reason the roof is peeling & bubbling is due to poor workmanship. The roof was not primed, hence the bubbles. Orbit started prepping the roof to fix it the same day and today we are still waiting for them to come back to finish their mess, another 3 months later again… They also took double the time to finish the job the first time around. We had to call to find out why they didn't return for a while, they never called to say they wouldn't be in, the customer has to call to find out where they are - they didn't arrive due to vehicle problems and then had staff problems.

Amateurs vs Professionals - Orbit Roofing are the Amateurs
Terrible terrible service and workmanship from Gert and his so called "Team". we got him out to quote us on resealing the grouting work on our veranda and waterproofing on the walls all around it caused from rain water seeping through the tiles. He promised the world to my Mother in law but nothing can be further from the truth. At first what they promised would be a 4 day job, turned into starting 2 weeks late and stretching the job out over 4 months. Gert, the supposed know it all boss man, leaves 2 in experienced workers on site at 2pm to do the work, only for them to laze around on our garden furniture and finish up work at 4pm. Gert was no where to be seen at any given time to supervise or instruct what work had to be done... or even how to do it as his workers clearly do not know how to do it. After days and days of complaining Gert finally appeared on site and all he could say was "this is not what i explained to them". They eventually completed the "work", only to our unsurprise the following week, the wall had started peeling and a portion where they had "waterproofed" actually collapsed off the wall. After calling him back on site he then stated he thinks its best he refunds our money. let me tell you that this is a whole other ball game to deal with. he promised to be at our house the following week with the money, only to be a no show. hours after he was supposed to be there we get a message from hi "P.A" stating "the financial department will refund your money on Friday"... Friday came and went with no sign of any money. We then left a message as no one would answer their phones at his Company stating that should we not receive our money back by Monday, we will take legal action and write a negative review on this platform. tour our surprise, Gert showed up on Monday, but with only R600 of the R8000 he has to refund. but he promised by Friday he will bring the rest. Again, Friday came and went and no sign of Gert. So we will be taking legal action now and hence my review on here. My Advice to you... Never ever trust Orbit Roofing with anything on your property. Never ever allow them on your property!!! one of the slogans on their website states the following "Amateurs vs Professionals If you think hiring a professional is expensive, wait till you see what an amateur costs you. Professionals may cost a little more, but their training and experience always deliver the best solution." Let me tell you, Gert and "The Team" are the amateurs and have costed us a fortune. we now have to get someone else to rectify the ****py job they have done. it is worse than before and would have been better off if we had just left it the way it was.
