Great service - Orchid Moves
Residential move a short distance. This was a large move but the 2nd time I requested a quotation after the previous move 6 weeks prior. The correspondence was alway prompt & extremely helpful. Orchid was the only removal company that sent out a representative for onsite inspection. The June move, we (foolishly) chose another competitor company based on them moving 2 separate family members to CT & Western Cape. What a disaster. When we requested another quotation, Steven made contact & Chereen kept us updated. We chose them and what a good experience. They tackled the large move with professionalism, a friendly team who collaborated the entire time. No damages. I highly recommend them and will definitely make use of them in the future.

Great service - Orchid Moves

Grateful and Very Satisfied
Moving can be such an emotional thing on so many levels. The entire process of dealing with Orchid Moves from obtaining a speedy reply and quote, to finally arriving at our new destination was such a good, good experience!! All the friendly and kind correspondence and patience with our many changes-of-dates, to the team arriving was absolutely pleasant. The team on the day was outstanding; quiet, calm and steady; reservedly confident and sure of themselves; so able and efficient; and incredibly polite and respectful. Each member engaged with a willingness to carry and place our goods wherever we needed. They were gentle and careful with not a single item being damaged in any way whatsoever. And then a small monetary tip to each was received with such grateful hearts and big smiles and a mutual exchange of well wishes. What a surprisingly pleasant experience!! Orchid Moves was referred to me by a friend and we will without hesitation HIGHLY RECOMMEND them, and will readily call on their services again. Very grateful and satisfied.

Great house moving experience.
I used Orchid Moves to move me at the end of January 2020. I was so impressed with their service from start to finish. I messed them around and changed my removal date twice, and also kept changing, which of my large items and the amount of boxes, they would be handling for me. They were patient and courteous with that entire process. They did arrive a little late, but the guys who did my actual move, were professional, polite and made an effort to not damage my stuff! It was one of the least stressful moves I’ve done, largely thanks to them. And did I mention, their charges are reasonable too!! #SupportLocal

Great house moving experience.
I used Orchid Moves to move me at the end of January 2020. I was so impressed with their service from start to finish. Orchid Moves take responsibility
I used Orchid Moves for our move from Job to KZN. The first time I used them 4 years ago they were fantastic so I was highly disappointed this time. As they had moved us before and knew the contents of our home etc I asked Steven the owner to please send the same size truck and trailer as last time. He sent a smaller trailer and hence some of our stuff was left in Jhb and had to be collected 2 weeks later. Due to the smaller trailer, his staff tried to squash everything in and as a result we suffered damages to our stuff. The best part was that they dismantled an office chair and then when they tried to put it back together again it was put on the wrong way and a hash job done on it. The bottom of my big wooden bookshelf was broken, our wingback chair of our coricraft lounge suite has two holes in it, our one ceramic lamp which is part of a set and which we very carefully bubble wrapped was broken. Our fridge was scratched to the point where the metal is showing and the paint scratched off. When I asked him what he was doing about this he told me I must claim from my insurers. I told him I was not going to do this as this was negligence on his and his staff parts. I received a letter from his insurance broker yesterday saying the same thing and that they had offered me all risk insurance but I had declined. Even if I had taken it does this give them the right to squash stuff into a truck, damage it and then not take responsibility. I will never use them again and in the past where I had recommended them to my friends would never do so again. I am highly disappointed.
