Pathetic customer service, received a broken lamp. No response to emails and calls. When they picked up their fone after I have been trying to call them. A lady by the name of Marianna picked up the fone and was very dismissive. She only said we will get back to you, up until today I am sitting with a broken lamp that I paid for.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my deep frustration and dissatisfaction with the service we received from your company, specifically from your employee, Lani. We purchased a leather lounge suite with the understanding that delivery would occur within 6 to 8 weeks. Instead, it took 13 weeks, and during this time, there was no follow-up from Lani whatsoever. It is clear that her commission for the sale was enjoyed long before any effort was made to ensure customer satisfaction. Frankly, had we not escalated the matter to Erica the Store Manager at Ouhout Willowbridge, we would likely still be waiting. Through our interactions, it became evident that Lani was and remains the root of the problem. To make matters worse, we discovered that she is not permanently assigned to any particular store but is moved around, benefiting from sales commissions without taking responsibility for after-sales service. This setup is both unfair and unprofessional. The reputation Ouhout claims to uphold is completely misaligned with the reality of how your business operates. This experience has been pathetic and unacceptable, with no sense of what customer service is. We as customers pay a premium rate and expect a premium product and the customer service that goes hand in hand with it. We deserve transparency, accountability, and great customer service in all these ways you have failed miserably. We expect a formal response addressing: • Why the promised delivery timeline was not honoured. • Why there was zero communication or follow-up from your representative. • What corrective measures Ouhout will implement to prevent such experiences. We trusted your brand and were let down. Please treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves. We are also yet to receive our polish and cleanser which Lani was to provide us with after she got paid due to her failure to do her job. When we followed up with the store, we were informed that messages had been sent to Lani requesting that she contact us to discuss the way forward. Unfortunately, it became clear that she had no intention of calling and offering an apology for the lack of service. This reflects very poorly on Ouhoud’s hiring and accountability practices. I can only assume ******** as her form of employment as nothing has been done by Ouhout having raised our concerns. The above has been added to HelloPeter, WhatsApp, Facebook and emails have been sent at store level and nationally along with your online team. I have had enough of being taken for a ride. I purchased a painting for R6,000 from Ouhout, which was clearly advertised on the website as coming with a frame. To be sure, I queried this before purchasing, and Denise confirmed — after checking with the warehouse — that the painting included a frame. Shortly after I paid the R6000, I was informed that the frame was actually not included, but I was reassured that a frame would be added, as it had been advertised that way. It’s now been over five weeks, and I’ve had zero response to my calls, emails, or messages and I get vague answers from Denise if she answers the WhatsApp and blames public holidays which are long gone. This is unacceptable service for a high-value purchase, and I feel completely let down. I would not recommend this seller based on my experience — misleading advertising, broken promises, and no accountability or follow-up.

To be honest I would not have done any ratings to this store.I bought a bed on 2023 around October,they told me they are supp**** by Mr Mattress.Not even a year reached on their guarantee of their bed around last year 2024 on March I complained about the bed.I went to their store which is where I bought it Ouhout in Klerksdorp I told them about the bed,they ddnt even try to assist me what they said is I should contact head office of Mr Mattress because they don't deal with them anymore. I did,I called and they asked me to send videos with the purchased slip.I did everything.I kept on contacting them and sending emails even today I have not got any feedback from them. I am sleeping on a bed thats making sounds everytime I sit or climb the bed,even when you just turn.I am very angry and disappointed I have wasted alot of my money for this bed which I could have bought a better one.I mean that bed ddnt reach 1year guarantee when it started making sounds.The head office tells me I should bring the bed @Bloemfontein I mean did I buy the bed there,I ddnt.Do they even know how much it costs just to hire a van to go there.So they expect me to use my money for their mistakes I won't do that.Their second option was to wait for their company truck if it comes to joburg till now I am still waiting for the truck.Imaging from 2023 October when I bought the bed,2024 March I complained about the bed it's even 2025 May with no help.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER FROM OUHOUT!!! I would not recommend them to anybody not even my worst enemy. They have managers who have ZERO care for customer retention and service. They will speak to you like they are more important than you and they are doing you a favour. Their managers handle customers with emotions and throw tantrums when you raise concerns. Manager even went as far as saying I can cancel my order If I wanted when I raised my dissatisfaction with them. One would expect quality service considering the brand they are. They treat you like royalty when they want your money and will treat you like ******* when you have issues with them. I got my delivery with no prior arrangements made with me as or at least a phone call to say they are on their way as the manager was trying to be spiteful or to inconvenience me. I had to leave work so I can open for them. The delivery note came with a highlighted instruction that I must pay R500 delivery, cash on delivery and when I enquire about the whole thing she raises her voice and spoke with so much irritation like I am her tea girl. This R500 is being paid to them so there is no running away which is not even 0.025% of what I paid them upfront . So its a Tom and Jerry situation at the expense of the customer I would never set my foot in any of their stores again. I have never regretted buying and supporting a business like like I do now with Ouhout They will never see me again

I bought a couch at Ouhout Herm**** in June 2024. My aim was to replace the leather on my current couch. When I consulted with the lady at Herm**** branch, Denise, she convinced me and my wife that it’s better to order a new couch. The reasons were 2-fold. 1) they will manufacture and deliver quickly 2) they will take responsibility for any anomalies as it would be a product that they had manufactured. My current couch is 3x3m…with a sitting areas that spans 3x3m. At Denise’s behest, we sent her a picture of the couch and showed her how it fits in our living room. After much deliberation we opted for their Zambezi couch in leather, however, we wanted bigger arm rests. Secondly, we wanted the couch to still be 3x3m with a daybed. The couch that was delivered is an eyesore and is not worth the R60,000 I spent. Firstly it is 3x1.8m in length. The armrests are bigger as per our request, however the sitting area is smaller. This I expected her to inform us as my expectation was that the sitting area would remain similar. The smaller sitting area means that a person cannot really sleep on the daybed. I do not mind paying a premium for a custom made couch, however, the premium includes advise on the final product which we did not received. The center of the couch is even worse. Ouhout decided to half the center cushions and worse the center is disproportionate to the rest of the couch. To exacerbate matters Denise is not answering my calls and not responding to my messages. This to me is highly rude and unprofessional. I have never been treated with such disdain in my entire life. No empathy!! No compassion. Nothing.

Great experience at their Tygervalley expo recently. Knowledgable Rikky the manager is a gem. Their products are heirlooms and reasonably priced, to be enjoyed for decades!
