I signed up with Oxygn Ballito in December 2025 after experiencing ongoing issues with my previous WiFi service provider. I was referred by a friend who was happy with their fibre service. The fibre installation was done the same afternoon, which initially seemed very efficient. However, the problems started shortly thereafter. I live in a double-storey house, and while fibre was installed in the lounge and my son’s bedroom upstairs, there was no WiFi coverage downstairs. At no point during the installation was I advised that additional equipment would be required to ensure proper coverage throughout the house. I contacted MJ shortly after the installation and was told that someone would be sent out to assess the issue. This did not happen. I waited until after the festive season and followed up multiple times before someone eventually came out. When a technician finally attended, I was informed that I would need a booster. I requested a quote and was shocked to receive one for nearly R4,000. This requirement and cost should have been identified and disclosed upfront during the initial installation, not after the service was already installed and paid for. The lack of follow-up, poor communication, and failure to properly assess my home before installation has resulted in unexpected additional costs. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing, and I feel that the service was not transparent from the outset. I would caution anyone considering Oxygn Ballito to ensure that all coverage requirements and costs are clearly explained before proceeding.

These guys have charged me for 100 MB line and only delivered 50. The service is pathetic if you want to do online zoom ect type meetings the line is terrible for this. My colleagues have complained about my quality when I'm on the oxygn network enough times to get this frustrated. International sites lag terribly. Plus they hardly get back to you for issues that I have been complaining about. I believe they know their shortcomings and seem to over promise to keep themselves going rather then being honest with clients. Plus everyone in the estate is complaining on the WhatsApp groups. Including the management of the estate.

Moved over to link layer as service provider and have really let us down. Connection keeps lagging. I have to switch to LTE to make it through a song in iTunes. Do not recommend them. I

This review is directly related to the incompetence of the accounts staff at Oxygn. I requested an account statement yesterday via Whatsapp, e-mail and telephone, but I received 3 e-mails back with only an invoice. I replied on those e-mails and clearly stated that I did get the invoice and that I needed a statement, but the invoice was sent back to me again. I called this morning again to speak to someone from accounts, but they are all on lunch since 11:30. This is extremely frustrating and I would suggets that Oxygn provide training to their staff with the difference between an invoice and a statement. How will I ever get a statement?
