The absolute worst pool company in Cape Town. If Ryloon is part of it run very far. My pool was buckling within 3 months of install. Still makes my blood boil after all these years. How these ****bags stay in business is beyond me

WHAT A PLEASURE BUILDING A POOL WITH A PRO
I don't usually bother with writing reviews, but this case really deserves it. My wife decided to have a pool built, and all the recommendations in the Knysna and Plett areas kept coming up with Johann of Pelican Pools SC. We noted that the reviews of Pelican Pools (albeit not SC) were generally not good, but having figured out there are many branches, and based on recommendations, we contacted Johan for a quote. That process was nice and straight forward and we were a little apprehensive as he didn't waste time on an over-elaborated quote, but decided to go ahead with him as he had a pleasant straight forward approach and all the past customers we spoke to were extremely glowing about the quality and efficiency of his pool building, especially from home builders and developers in the industry. We wanted to wait until the new year, as we didn't want to have a half done pool over December, but after a few assurances, we decided to go ahead. In fact, we didn't quite believe Johann when he said the build should take about two weeks. What an experience, the team moved in and hand dug the pool having to move the excavated soil down a long sloping stairway. In record time the pool hole was dug, a day later huge trucks were pouring concrete, and before we knew it, barely two weeks later, we have a magnificent pool filled with water. I wish I could post a photo of just how nice it looks, everything done to perfection. Johan's team worked extremely neatly, cleaned up at the end of each day, and clearly knew what they were doing, as the concrete work, pool pump/pipe laying and solar heating panels were all expertly done. So that's it, perfect pool built in two weeks. Johan briefed the wife every day and he was very accommodating with late changes she made, so after the nightmare of having plans done and approved, who would have thought the actual build would take a fraction of the time the paperwork and approvals took. A real pleasure and we have no hesitation in highly recommending Johann and Pelican Pools Southern Cape. In the meantime we hear he is busy with a further two pools in our street alone, and is booked until April next year. This is what happens when you do a great job on time, and he has clearly earned his reputation.

Pelican Pools - Pool Rite - Maintain-a-pool - Maintainapool --- Con Artist Alert
Con Artist Alert They go by the name of Maintain-a-pool, Poolrite or Pelican Pools When You need to deal with any of these Companies or the Following people Rushda Samsodien Rayloon Samsodien Raaiedah Samsodien Stay far away they will take your money install a **** pool give you **** service and leave before the pool is complete. Maintainapool Maintain-a-pool/ Poolrite/Pelican Pools worst pool company ever Stay far away from Maintain a Pool. Very quick to take your money and give you timelines they will not honour… I was told 4 days from Shell drop in ..its been 3 months never put my foot in the pool .. Besides taking my money and leaving me with a cracked broken skew installed pool and which is bulging..also all accessories as per contract has not been provided I ended up buying my own … Pool is leaking and has been patched like several times and we haven't even had a swim yet.. they also never finished the job and never came back Between the Rayloon Samsodien, Rushda Samsodien and Raaiedah Samsodien. They make promise they never intent keeping as in there contract there clearly stipulate verbal agreements wont be honoured-- But all promises are made verbally. They also extremely arrogant once they have your money. They don't display they address on there contracts … If you need evidence I have pictures and Videos, I also have a Report from a reputable Pool company depicting all the issues. I can provide...Rather get a reputable and NSPI registered company. Stay far away from maintain-a-pool … the worst pool company I have ever came across-

Con artists DO NOT USE PELICAN POOLS ALSO TRADE UNDER THE NAME POOLRIGHT Paid 50% deposit Start project a week late Deliver shell an additional week late Shell looks like its 2nd hand Dont answer calls, dont return calls Continuously lie Treat their staff like poorly - 8pm on a Friday night there labourers were still waiting to be collected, I had to arrange an uber for them Hellopeter.com same complaints about them CON ARTISTS !

Ryloon Samsodien owner of Pelican pool. He has our money since Oct however our pool is still not finished. Our pool was suppose to be done in less than 14 days, it's now been 7 weeks and counting. He now ignores our calls and messages
Ryloon Samsodien owner of Pelican pool is a liar and a thief. He has our money since Oct however our pool is still not finished. He's been promising to finish our pool for weeks now. This pool was suppose to be done in less than 14 days, it's now been 7 weeks and still our pool looks like ****. All the people that he outsourced for this work, from digging to electric connection, they have warned us of him, saying only his Caucasians customers hardly complain about him. Because he prefers to give his best service to the white man. He is quick to make a call if he requires payment, and never pics up the phone when he is needed to be in your property. He would blame his employees like Tyron, badmouthing them, saying they are liars, when he is the biggest of them liars.

Pathetic Service
We contacted them (PELICAN POOLS) to advise that there is a crack in the pool, and they need to fix it after numerous tempts to contact them they said that they will send someone out but up until today no one even phoned back to advise by when someone will come out, even asses the damage of the pool. they have pathetic after service. IRATE CUSTOMER
