Don't stand by their guarantee
Infinity Pool Specialists supplies pentair products. So i bought a Pentair Chlorinator for over 10k and had it installed in OCT 22. In Dec it stopped working Infinity pools then replaced this unit since it have a 1 year Guarantee. In Feb 23 it stopped working again, which is the second new unit which one can assume should carry another year guarantee since it is new. Now the blame game starts whereby Infinity blame the manufacturer Pentair? Pentair blames load shedding, when i have a off grid solar system and load shedding and power spikes don't effect us? My biggest frustration is that Infinity sells products and when there is an issue they walk away and refer you to the manufacturer? Surely this is not normal? If i sell the product surely i sort out the warranty? I did not buy this from the manufacturer i bought it from them, how do they just walk away from this? Anyway i have been trying to resolve this since Feb, best is i am talking to the receptionist as the owner who made the money with my purchase has now disappeared! poor service and prices
took my dominator lite pool cleaner to repair depot in Kempton needed a new shaft , was only 18 months into 2 year warranty was told it would cost R750 to repair as not covered by warranty due to wear and tear although parts are guaranteed for 2 years,took it to the very helpful pool team in Stoneridge cost R290 and took 10 minutes to fix

Kreepy Krauly Dominator - DO NOT BUY!!!
I bought a Kreepy Krauly Dominator at MAkro six weeks ago. Since then the unit does not work properly. It doesn't clean the pool at all. I cannot believe that a company would market such a useless product. This is the most useless pool cleaner on the market! Do not buy it! And if you want to exchange or return the Dominator, Makro will not assist you! You will have to contact Pentair and arrange for someone to assess the unit. What nonsense is this!? I did not even purchase the unit from Pentair! I have always only purchased Kreepy Krauly pool cleaners, but never again! Never again!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM ANY product with Pentair as a host. There is no support and the little they supply takes two weeks to complete. I bought a Bullshark Pro as a pool cleaner, as stated on the box. Pentair tries to convince me this is a splash pool cleaner. It can not work without supervision and is always upside down. I think Pentair is either to ashamed of the products they put their name on, or just don't care, thus the reason for not responding on any complaints.

Dominator Pool Cleaner not performing
My old Bull Shark pool cleaner, which is also a Pentair product has a cracked swivel joint and has cable ties and tape around the crack to make it work effectively. The unit is 6 years old. To be honest it works effectively until the tape comes off and loses pressure again. I then bought the replacement Bullshark Pro from Makro, which worked easily around walls and floors but found it was stcking onto my light fiiting and stayed there as the edge of the fitting jammed it from jumping over. I phoned makro and they advised me that it is not recommended to use that product anyway for a 8 x 5m pool, so they suggested a dominator.at R2299-00. I got a counter quote from The Pool Team at R2000-00 and purchased it from them. It does not operate to my satisfaction neither Pentair the manufacturer whom The pool team passed the responsibility to Pentair for a refund, which they refusing to honour. They blaming my installation. As unhappy consumer I want a refund/credit voucher as they unit is not cleaning the walls of my pool and is sluggish compared to the cheaper traditional pool cleaners.
