This is an email that I had sent them with no reply received obviously, customer service is not important to them...... Hi, I have decided to send an email and see if I am attended to or weather I should try other channels. Firstly, I was interested in buying a motorcycle from Berry Bikes in Glen Anil it was a BMW 650X, I spoke to Darren and he told me the bike was available. I had every intention to buy the motorcycle and told him I would pay a deposit on the motorcycle to show my commitment. Previously I was going to buy a motorcycle from “We buy Cars” I had app**** for a personal loan with Capitec bank that was approved, the money was transferred, but after inspecting the motorcycle I found it to be in poor condition and I opted not to go ahead with the transaction. I have been having problems between “we buy cars” and “Capitec” as they have lost the money as it was transferred to a suspense account and they are trying to recover the funds. I eventually told Darren that I won’t be buying the BMW as planned and would like to get my R2000 back. He told me that they don’t refund deposits as per the quote that he sent me. My problem is that I was never told this prior to paying the money and also, I have not physically signed any documentation agreeing to buy the motorcycle. So as far as I’m concerned it is just a credit balance and I want it back.

I traded a motorcycle in for a bike at Perry Bike in Durban. I am in Cape Town and was not sure if this was a clever decision as I stay in Cape Town a long way from Perry Bikes. Well, the person I dealt with, Grayson Humble, was excellent. He gave me proper info on the bike I wanted and assisted with the trade of my own bike. Excellent service! Good feedback with regard to the transport of my new bike to Cape Town.

Don't buy a bike from Perry Bikes. You will get ripped off. I financed a R90 000 and have had to replace brake pads every week since. The chain and sprocket is competely ****ed. I can't ride the bike. I've had the bike for 1 month and I have to replace parts to my own cost. This bike is not show room quality ready and I may as well have bought a cheap R20k bike off Gumtree as I am now in the same situation as I have always been with cheap second hand bikes. SHocking service from them and all they can do is blame the rider.

I took my bike to Perry Bikes on the 19th February 2018 for a oil and filter change, I rode the bike from my home to Perrys no problem just needed to boost the battery. I called on the 21st to see how they where doing and said the will finish soon just have a starting problem, later that day I received a call that the service was done but the bike does not want to start it has a service light problem that say there was a wiring problem. I said no problem just fix it because there was no problem when I took it in. a week later they used that there is one mechanic. On the 23th I call Vernon Perry owner and ask for his assistance he said he will look in to it and get back to me, he called me later the day and said the wiring is a mess and he will send it to Hillcrest branch the have a very good mechanic there, all looked up again he also said they will call me with feed back that happened on the Tuesday the Thursday I call and they said they did not start yet now the 8th Feb,Monday the the 12th we where at the shop because we have a registration problem with an bike they sold us 2 weeks ago, I saw the owner and said he will ask what is happening with my bike and short after when we came down he said they will start today and I will have it back on Wednesday. Today I got a call it is back at Durban North I must pick it up, because it is a mess. I took a drive there to talk to them when I got therwenyte I spoke to the service manager, that showed me the report that said the full wiring harness needs to be replace, battery almost flat after standing for almost 4 week, the Ecu looks like it burnt and sorry they not prepared to work on the bike any more because it is a peace of S.... there word. I told Vernon Perry and his son that it does not make scene how I drive a bike in and when it comes out it has more that R 40 000 damage according to them. I showed them point after point where they wrong and staff that did not do there work and Vernon just said but that is not his problem, by now his son is swearing at me and told me what a S... bike this was and it is irreparable and then I said but I rode it in to the shop and they saw me. His son just went on swearing to me when I said to him is this how they treat there client he did not care. They just wanted me to take it in pieces like they worked on it to my home now. This is the worse service and I have never been sworn at by a owner ever. Now they want to put it together and dump it at my place.

I bought a motobike from Perrybikes in Umhlanga in december 2015 financed by wesbank. I signed the contract on the 10th of december and took delivery of the motobike on the 11th which was a friday afternoon. A 2008 hyosung 650GT and had about +/-6****m on the clock. The following day in the morning on my way to work the bike broke down. It stalled twice on me and luckily, the second time I was at the gate at work and had to push a very low mileage bike all the way to the parking lot. When I phone my salesman Brent Noel to tell him about what happened and as well to inform him that I will get it towed in to the dealer, he told me they will collect the bike from my work place not the same day but on a monday. That in turn proved to be a very bad move on my side to allow because no one showed on monday to collect it. Phoned the dealer to find out..."we will call you back when our driver is back from another customer"... that was what I was told by the service manager which i believed but no one came and no phone call. Same thing happened on Tuesday, they finally pitched on Wednesday just after midday. Since then I never head from them. Each time I needed feedback about the bike, I had to use my airtime to call in and ask about the progress and be given some lame excuses. They dragged on until the 10th of January 2016 where I sent them an email asking them to just cancel the purchase and return the money back to wesbank and them to take their broken down bike. They refused to do that yet they still were unable to fix the bike soonest. The ordeal carried on me against their finance personell Ms Tammy Govender , salesman Mr Brent Noel and well as their boss who was also made aware that I wanted the purchase reversed Mr Mark Perry. I have also countless emails that I was sending to them. I went on and got MIOSA involved because I felt my rights are being violated because as a consumer I believe I have a right to return goods that I'm not happy with. I made calls to wesbank as well to also request a reversal which they also said they can't do it has to be done by the dealer. When MIOSA finally surfaced after a long silence and asked the dealer what happened within and hour they responded to the and the following day the said the bike is fixed but at the time I was no longer interested in the bike or anything from Perrybikes whatsoever because all I wanted is to be freed from the bike that takes three months to be fixed on stating problems. They said it was fixed on the 26 of February 2016 since December when they had it. Up to this day of 27 May 2016 I'm still stuck with a problem of getting the dealer to take their motorbike back because I believe if they are confident about all products they are selling to the puvlic it should not be an issue to take it back because they can still make sale out of it. Unless, they saw a dumping site at me, just this person who will only say yes sir after such a long time and delays and waste of my money for comuting with a car for over 80km to work daily. My main purpose of getting a bike in the first place was reduce costs. MIOSA ended up rulling in the dealers favor as they said I acted within the consumer acts by granting the dealer time to try and fix the bike. I hope here, I can have that rulling turn around as I trully don't want that motorbike near me at all as i have made other commuting arrangements.

I purchased a motorcycle from Perry Bikes, applied and finalized finance on 07 July 2015, to this day I have not received the motorcycle.

They stated they discovered a fault on the gears during major service and ordered parts from BMW to fix the fault but they have not called to say what is happening going forward.

I have had to call them every time to get status feedback and in the past 2 weeks I have stopped calling and they haven't bothered themselves either.

Perry Bikes service is appalling to say the least.
